Mmmmm very interesting. I too have been told by a friend who works for Supercar team that they were shown a Hyundai in the Pace shop.

I too have heard the Hyundai-at-Pace story. Bar aero-parity testing, would there be much other testing needed to get it ready for round 1? Hypothetically speaking of course.

Yeah i'd agree, toymota for sure

I guess that is one of the things that the ST's have over other classes, is that the aero parity is pretty much done what with the standard rear wing and front splitter. As i have mentioned on here before, the i45 does seem slicker in the C pillar, and would that make much of a difference?

You'll notice that there is slightly different mounts used for the Holden and Fords due to the higher rear end on the commodore. So the falcons use some added plates to bring them up to the same height.

But the question now is this, is the i45 at Pace for ST's or SC's??

NZSTfan,
V8 Supertourers have not sold any other brand to anybody other than Ford and Holden. Pace innovations do a lot of work for other clients, including South Africa.

Thanks Mark, well i guess that confirms that then. The car in question must be for another customer.

Also for those interested, i hear the 2013 V8ST test day is scheduled for the 15th of February at HD.

I'll be there for sure, and if anyone on here is interested in making a day of it please PM me. Maybe we could meet up at the Mercer pub and head there as a group? Just an idea anyway.

if last years test day is anything to go by (hot, humid and with localised thunderstorms all around us) then a cold beer at the end of the day and some 'chit-chat' could be just what the doctor ordered.

Would also be nice to actually meet some of you like-minded people

I was told it should be in your workshop soon. Same one paul, corkery and heimgarter are creating a super team.

If any of this is true, my mate told me.

Petches work shop with paul cepe and euygene corkerkery who owns the the car for SVG and Heimgartners, it would appear that this is the case.

I am happy to confirm that I have leased my workshop to Paul Ceprnich, who is running his car, plus Heimgartner's and the Corkery's car for SVG.

I am also aware that Pace Innovations are developing a Hyundai I45 on their own initiative, however, as I have previously stated V8 Supertourers limited have not sold or purchased this body.

Providing we can be sure of the areo equivalency, we would love to see a third manufacture in V8ST.

So when can we see it on the grid? This could be the worst secret ever. What aero tests have you done with the holdens and fords?

Talking to some people, this car exists for the fact that south korea was on the plans. Have a hyundai sell the prototype to do this.

Correct me if wrong Mark.

seriously have to wonder what they're smoking over at msnz if this is true. turning down free tv coverage and a chance to be on the undercard for the top v8 class. crazy
on the plus side though, with the round looking as though it'll be at ruapuna it means i can go.

Again MSNZ making an absolute hash of it... I would love to know MSNZ's reasoning behind their decision, again a complete lack of transparency and credibility... C'mon Shane Harris, Brian Budd or Crunch... tell us what the hell is going on.. Do I smell Fine involved in this..

I suspect the answer you will get will be along the lines of:
It is none of your business Mr .VP as you are not financially involved with regards to any aspect of MSNZ.

Really Ugy, I thought V8SuperTourers had done a pretty spectacular and successful job without MSNZ. Am I missing something here?

Care to elaborate Ugy? Supertourers seem to be doing pretty well without MSNZ.

I guess it can't be financial then, because it seems a pretty good deal that ST offered (Of course we dont know the Full details), so it can only be that they are not interested in doing any sort of deal with V8ST, which seems to have been out lined in various forms over the last week or so

Be interesting to see what happens then with Pukekohe V8SC Round.

I herd they spoke with one very good series, and they told them to jam it...

Maybe ugy is reffering to STs desire to be sanctioned by msnz? Also maybe they need their officials to prevent the issues with officials etc
