That's Will Burns in the Toyota.

44 was also the number Andy Neate ran under in his first spell in BTCC.

Yes, but Neate has been banned from the championship.

In the original article on Autosport after Team Dynamics lost their 3rd TBL, there was a sentence that read, "TOCA will no longer accept any entry associated with Andy Neate". Not the exact quote, but that was the gist of it.

I imagine it is Jack Clarke in the #44 as he is the driver linked with a potential manufacturer & new backer at Motorbase,.

I was thinking Neate ran #44 too, but if he's been politely told not to come back, then that's that

Chris Smiley was testing the PMR Chevy at Donington, and Rob Smith at Snetterton the other day.
Will Burns (Ginetta GT4 vice-champ) and Martin James (a driver coach and club racer) tested Team Hard's Avensis's at Snetterton, alongside Jake Hill. |

Thanks, had kept up to speed with the others, just hadn't seen that it was Smiley in the PMR car at Donington! 😊

I hear the Goff will need to find a lot more money to continue at WSR as the IHG deal ends now. Jordan could fill that seat. Quite sure Turkington would be welcome back but he has always sruggled to find the budget and let's not forget that Tordoff would probably have won at Snetterton had his car not failed on the warmup lap, that would have made all the difference to the final outcome.
Lots of ifs and buts at the end of such a close season. Meanwhile Tordoff is racing a BMW at the Nurburgring this weekend |

and by the looks of it he does some world travel https://www.instagram.com/jackclarkep1/ which means someone else may have been in that Focus rumors suggested that a driver at Motorbase from 2014 so means Giovanardi but I think rather more a potential pay driver from the lower classes Last edited by porsche962fan; 21 Oct 2016 at 23:30. |

Never a suggestion that he'd be testing with Motorbase this week! No idea who was in there tbh. |

You can't win a title if you don't finish races and that's exactly how Tordoff stayed in, by staying consistent throughput the season and that should be respected

Yep, he managed to keep his nose clean throughout the year. In fact, I can't think of a single time he got turned around in a race (which is always one major drawback of RWD). I remember Turkington getting span out on several occasions when he was in the BMW.

Tordoff drove brilliantly all year (apart from the final race of the year IMO), as I think any pundit or any of his fellow drivers would agree. It's just not possible to get to that position in the championship without being at the top of your game. Part of the skill of being a top BTCC driver is knowing when to attack and when to settle for points. He did that perfectly all year. It can be hard to see that when you're looking through your Orange tinted glasses though.
