That's great news, they've had some solid results this year with the likes of Jesse Krohn and Michela Cerruti driving. I like their livery, it's tiger like . Reminds me of a Supra that ran in JGTC with similar livery. |

I had a look at the M6 GT3 press photos, and they have big Michelin and stickers on the car and tyres. So I wouldn't expect BMW to race with anything else than Michelins under their works cars.

Entry list with some interesting entries! Mercedes-AMG GT3 returns with Jan Seyffarth, Thomas Jäger (DE) and Yelmer Buurman. Buurman's move means a spot opens up at Black Falcon's SLS, giving the quick Manuel Metzger another crack at the GT3 class. And I also want to add that this is nothing less than deserved, as Manuel has been pivotal in Black Falcon's success with the SP7 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Metzger is replaced by Philipp Eng, who already raced together with Gerwin (and Manuel and Hannes Plesse) during the N24 this year, which they won. Also returning is M-Sport Bentley with Steven Kane and Guy Smith, as well as both Lexus RC-F GT3's. Falken and Haribo also stick around for another race. Not sure what the #32 Porsche is. I'm also hearing something super awesome for VLN9, but I don't kiss and tell |

At round 9 at the VLN on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife
First test outing for the new Porsche 911 GT3 R Stuttgart. The new Porsche 911 GT3 R, which is based on the seventh generation of the iconic 911 sports car, will contest round 9 of the VLN long distance championship on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife on 17 October. This event serves as the first endurance run for the new car’s suspension and brakes. The engine is still the well-proven power plant of predecessor models. The new direct fuel injection engine generation is not yet available as it is currently undergoing test bench runs in Weissach and further testing in the USA. The first outing of the new Porsche Motorsport customer racer under competition conditions also serves as a trial for the suspension and body components. In addition, the race and development squad Manthey Racing should have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the handling of the vehicle at an early stage. “It has always proved beneficial to take a new car racing at an early development stage. The demands of the Nürburgring Nordschleife offer the best conditions for this,” says Head of Porsche Motorsport Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser. “While our new engine is undergoing tests in the USA under warm conditions, we are also conducting trials on the suspension and body components at the Nurburgring-Nordschleife with its uniquely undulating topography.” |

The RC F GT3 was much closer to the front runners this past race. The AMG GT3 & SLS GT3 qualified in the 8:01's, the Farnbacher RC F did an 8:07. Ive gotta say, the new AMG GT3 is a rocket.

Here's my report of VLN8: http://www.gt-report.com/2015/10/07/relentless/ With a heavy focus on SP7, because that battle was INTENSE!
This intense (last stint of the race, Matteo Cairoli vs. Philipp Eng): Last edited by Miguel; 7 Oct 2015 at 17:38. |

AMG has gone home, unfortunately. At least one driver of the AMG GT3 has found another ride for tomorrow, though. Don't know about the others.

Good job, but the car still needs a lot of development (new engine) before it is on pace with the Mercedes.
