Tim...a note on this MS Streets program, I seem to have been lucky in the airfield tracks chosen to measure to date. I just spent some time looking in the program looking to measure a number of the other airfield tracks (floydbennett, ftmorgan, madison IN), and while the airport is shown, the runways are not, so there is little if any reference point to work from when trying to duplicate the layouts. So, my point is that some airfields are shown in detail, but many not at all, so this program has a few shortcomings. My version is 2000, maybe 2004 would have more detail.

Tim, BTW...your ElToro measures at 7.75 mi. Long, but for ALMS just fine, in my opinion.

Ayse, since we've been around so long, and we've got 150 pages, 3728 replies, 29'000+ views, do you think that this thread is worthy of "hot topic" status?

Wee! 150
Well, remember the countdown there was to the 100th Ayse, i agree with p, this should be "hot topic". p, i agree in your post about sharp corners, Monza, etc. Crozier, nice track, though, cant really make up my mind of it, before i see it in a bigger version. Is that available? |

Now we just have to beat "The Mallet" for number of pages/posts and this thread will become longest thread EVER on 10/Tenths (Although it is still the longest active thread).
Only 70 pages to go! Last edited by RacerGuy2; 15 Nov 2003 at 13:58. |

Well, realistically, this thread has had an average speed of 9,375 pages per month. That means it will take approximately 106,5 months to hit 1000. Thats 91 months from now, because the thread has been going for around 15 months now.
That is 7 years and 8 months. So, my bet is, that we hit the 1000 in July 2010. Gosh!... Thats just before i turn 21!... Scary. |

When I'm bored, I read threads that don't really interest me. I got up to page 6 of this one and got even more bored. Before I go, I must comment on Oyster Cove [29 July 02] I looked at it long and hard, but all it reminded me of was a DUCK. I must be quackers. I'm off now to see if Justin Dawkins has got even smuttier on the Pippa Mann thread. |

Tim, i thought this was a slightly more realistic track for Walesboro.
Bsically, using mostly runways, utilising the space behind the pits for the paddock etc. |

I still check this thread often, I just ran out of good designs in my head! Really, I've been getting into rallying lately, and am trying to devise an arsenal of stages from the roads in my area. It's a wonder I haven't found myself lost in a vengeful hillbilly's driveway yet!

I got sucked into the challenges some 119 pages ago. Tapered off as uni got a bit more intense, but I'm one of those people who needs a reason anyway - I can't just churn out tracks like p or lustig do.
However, I might make some sort of return now exams are over. I'll have to see how the creative juices are flowing first. |
