Don't get me wrong, I want longer races. But until TV becomes at least revenue neutral while not being shown on Speed, it won't happen. (NASCAR races can go 5 hours, so I don't think the argument can be made that a racing audience doesn't have the patience for longer than three hours) |

Well, it has been posted here that Don Panoz was interested in buying a couple of Courage C60s, and go down the same path that Pescarolo did: Modifying the cars to suit his wants/needs. And Courage was with him aside from one thing-the Elan V8 didn't fit as neatly as say a Judd 5.0 V10.
The project didn't really go much further after this point, whether it was Dr. Don's want to use the Elan OHV V8 that killed it or not, I don't know-I didn't even know that theis may've exhisted until earlier this year. Why anyone hasn't given serious thought to GM's LS1/6 engines also makes me curious. Last edited by chernaudi; 28 May 2007 at 20:53. |

I think the Lister probably had other issues. The Lister Storm LMP was 4th or 5th on the Sebring grid in 2003, so it was pretty much the quickest thing out there aside from the VAG cars.

A new thread has popped up and it has given us a chance to start again. After all most of the above is just repetition
The new thread is here and contains a simpler poll. However, you never know, some may have a different opinion to last time. Thanks. |
