Well ..... thought that was a great race. Action all the way through with a number of great drives.
Rossi - best drive of the season Lotterer - back to his best .... too old? I don't think so! BMW No 15 - all drivers deserved their second place. Schumacher -has found HIS place in racing - great drive. Overall, really enjoyed the whole race and can't want for Bahrain |

Lol, it is rather sad is it not that tyour l;ast comment contains a word that no true fan really wants. Bahraion
Nothing against the place, and the track is fine, but it would be so much better of the last race was in Silverstone, Monza, Nurburgring, Paul Ricard, you know a proper track!! |

AGREED! Please not Silverstone ...... They do not deserve it!
Until Pringle 'wakes up and smells the roses' that the world does not revolve around the cash cow that is F1 and Silverstone needs to earn the respect of the REAL race fan then I certainly will not be going back there. |

These were suggestions, not based on anything other than what drivers and teams want, not fans, I am fully aware that WEC is very doubtful to EVER return to Silverstone, but I think teams and drivers would probably appreciate it rather than fans.
I can only imagine what Pringle would do for pricing now. It would be ridiculous I guess. Also these suggestions were also based on the venues ability to host, I know Silverstone has more than enough space as does Ricard which is also a venue drivers would probably not mind as much, not sure on Nurburgring, but they have GTWC endurance there which has a lot of cars but maybe there the teams are not so needy needing so much space as WEC teams would. Maybe Mugello also could manage it. |

We have to accept it, the UK is finished for international motorsport now. It wont ever come back. Some people say its because of increased costs/paperwork since Brexit but theres very clearly been a backlash against the British from the EU since Brexit. They wont come back ever again. Its Xenophobic

As for the original starting point of the discussion, welcome to modern racing series - take it or leave it. I'd rather not have Bahrain at all (the only ME circuit that is worse is Jeddah) but they've covered a significant part of the running costs in order to host the finale. At least the race should still be good. |

Dramatic? That’s one way of putting it.

WEC has nothing against Silverstone. The OEMs do not want a 10th round for financial reasons and the other circuits have contracts already. Therefore, there will not be a Silverstone race anytime soon.

My point really was that Bahrain is a relatively uninspiring place to have a series finale., they will have paid for it no doubt, Arab countries often do that kind of thing in big sports series, but there are alternatives.
My other point was not about increasing the calendar, it was more about using better venues, but that is an argument you could lay at any modern racing series, sadly the promoters ONLY and I mean ONLY go where the money is, if Spa could not pay the fees they would not go there either, the promoters would happily take twice the hosting fee to go to Abu Dhabi and drop Spa in a moment. They don't care about anything but money. |Only one race is sacred to them, which is why it surprises me there is not more than one race in France, Paul Ricard is a great venue for WEC in my eyes. Not great for fans or your eyes however! |
