So who’s going to be green and purple? That’s what nobody has a good answer for.

I'm curious to see how the 'old' Peugeot goes in Qatar. It's a smooth track with low kerbs to keep the bikers happy. It might suit the Pug?

Well, here's a good way to get into the chassis building biz, turn key operation just waiting to be snapped up.

Prologue could be delayed due to shipping issues for half the grid.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA AMAZING. The whole point of going to Qatar was to get the Qatar airways money/freight deal and the first track action is delayed because of....... FREIGHT.

Well when the plans for the freight were made and approved probably happened before a conflict erupted in the area that has affected shipping. If it is only 1 day delay it is still ok.
Not fair to judge the organisation when something unexpected happened that affected them, just saying And I imagine the plan to air freight was to be out of Qatar as the equipment is already here. Coming in, a lot of equipment is probably coming from all over the world, some could have already been in storage and waiting in a port for a while now to be picked up. I'm not sure that's true lol. They're at Qatar because the Qatar government wants them there. The series is shipped by sea freight and set off a while ago. Nothing to do with Qatar Airways.

It's at least mildly humerous from a pure irony perspective. Not literally though.

I was under the impression qatar airways exclusively operated container ships.
My comment was perhaps more related to initial comments about the logistics of keeping Sebring on the calendar while kicking off in the Middle East. It would seem logistical hurdles (to put it nicely) are present in kicking off the calendar anyway. At any rate, looking forward to some racing next weekend. New job won't be a fan of me watching qualifying during work though. |

Then again, it would be better to inquire about this with companies that actually deal with logistics and freight as a mainstay of their business, like Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, and others. International Airlines can make an attempt in transport of certain articles, but only to a degree.
It's the reason why shipping companies are the main when it comes to moving racing vehicles from one continent to another. The time gap is essential for not only those but also transport and support semis, hospitality units and the like. |

The situation is so ironic. Crisis around the red sea has started last december. We are at the end of february. Someone has clearky bot done his job. Luckily, there is a prolog otherwise it would have been fun to rescheduled the race. We are missing so much Sebring... |

There are so many nice tracks in Europe or the US where you can have a prologue. Even Asia.
But no, let's go to Qatar. I am not sorry for this mess. ACO and organizers have to blames themselves. They did not learn anything from the troubles Creventic had with their 24 hours of Dubai. Because we are ACO and we can do it better? |

Yes, shipping delays due to the ongoing disruption in the red sea were likely unavoidable and not a known issue when teams originally arranged their sea freight. |
