Only Silver and Bronze drivers were allowed to compete. I am not sure, but when you become factory driver for world top touring championship, you aren't Silver or Bronze driver, no? Or touring car drivers aren't on that list? |

The Silver/Bronze thing only applies to the GT race
https://www.fiamotorsportgames.com/c...ouring-car-cup "Each National Sporting Authority (ASN) will nominate one driver for the competition, organised in conjunction with the WSC Group. There will be no restriction on drivers’ experience." Butcher's deal was brokered by Huff. I get the feeling that ASN nomination is just a box ticking exercise and it's really just down to sponsorship as always. |

The ASN nominates the driver but the driver is the one paying the bill. As so, I would guess no other Brit wanted to spend money to take part in this FIA Motorsport Games party. And Butcher got his ticket.
It is not a question of money, fame or prestige; it is a question of what intrinsically you want to do. But Shedden, Huff, Morgan, Lloyd... they all get paid or race for free somewhere else. |

Santiago Urrutia asked WRT for a budget for the FIA Motorsport Games, and it was higher than he could afford.

Finally. It's been like 3 years!
But they've gone to the right people to make this. Same group that makes the MX-5 Cup car. |

Hopefully we see it also in Europe next season. |

They'll be fine once someone picks up the rights to distribute the cars and parts.
However, nothing stopping them from selling direct. |

Honda, Audi, VW, SEAT all build cars in Europe but successfully sell them all over the world. Why is it such a stretch to think a car built in the USA can't do the same?

It looks to be a promising product with factory blessing and a knowledgeable team behind the build, why couldn't it sell in Europe? It's hardly an 'independently' built FRD Ford or a TopRun Subaru

Pointless.
The bodyshells are obsolete now, with the new model out. |

Interesting There will be new Cupra and VW for next year, but no Audi. I remember hearing Leopard racing in WTCR presentation in Barcelona about testing new car, but looks like that debut of new racing RS3 will be in line with presentation of street version of that car. |
