I must say I don't miss DRS and P2P. There are fewer overtakes now but it's more about 'true' racing. Good to see the streams were improved. Still leaves a lot to be desired but it's a step in tje right direction.
Looking at wins of Götz or Ellis, clearly the GT3 specialists now have the upper hand. I'm surprised that Nico Müller struggled so much this weekend. |

I just find very pathetic that a slow and unreliable driver like Floresch is used to massively use her socials to promote herself to get the visibility she would never get because of her poor driving skills... in very short, the more she tries to look cool in socials, the more she looks terrible once inside a racing car.... seriously not even lewis hamilton is so active on socials like her! and I'm sure he has a whole team hired to manage his socials Also jordan taylor is very active on socials, but he's a good driver. |

I think some drivers need to promote themselves, but it's good to see women competing against men. Sometimes it's hard to ignore gender. We also like good characters in the sport, but that's up to them. At the end of the day we are going to have of different drivers from different backgrounds competing, so I don't blame Sofia for making it happen. Fair play to her for giving it a go, although she hasn't set the world on fire so far. Social media is all well and good, but it shouldn't be a distraction as it appears to be for her. There's a time and place for everything. The professional drivers know when to go on there and when not to and when to concentrate on their driving

For me Flörsch is a big disappointment. I didn't expect her to fight well inside top 10 instantly but two race weekends in and she's absolutely nowhere. Even Esmee Hawkey seems a bit better. The trio of Flörsch, Hawkey and Dev Gore seem to be the weakiest part of this year's DTM grid.

I just saw Race 2 of the Lausitzring DTM broadcast. That was fantastic racing. Probably the best GT3 race anywhere in any series that runs GT3 cars in 2021 so far. What hapenned to Kelvin was such bad luck. But it made the last 15 minutes entertaining when he got delayed back to 3rd plce.

This new look DTM is really good. The cars look and sound great. The racing is aggressive. I would love to see a porsche or 2 in the mix. Go Liam!

Yep, Lausitzring was way better than Monza in my opinion. Some great racing. I wish there were more cars though.

Yeah, the current DTM grid just needs 2-3 more cars preferably manufacturers that are not in there already (Porsche, McLaren, Aston, Acura). And that is good enough. Also the female drivers need to be better than they have been.

I'd say 24 would be the best number as was a few years ago when Mercedes was still there.
From other news, Maxi Buhk will replace Paffett also at Zolder as Paffett faces travel restrictions due to Covid. |

This weekend it's Zolder.
The final round will be held on October 9-10 at the Norisring street circuit. |

It's great to have Norisring secured - a finale there is a fantastic prospect. Hopefully corona won't hamper this.
Another news - Markus Winkelhock is to replace Sophia Flörsch at Nurbürgring. |

Really interested to see GT3 cars around Norisring. Not sure any GT3 based series has ever raced there.

Street circuits arent usually great for GT3. Macau is a boring procession... That said, Norisring has more room, and always allowed for great class 1 racing. Lets hope GT3's are able to keep close enough to each other on this track to fight |

It's been a good season so far, so Norisring will be good to see. Should be not much different from other DTM races there, even under this new formula. It will be different though
It's a great circuit due to it's width and has always produced great racing whatever the formula. Should be no problem with these GT3 cars |

The FIA GT raced at Helsinki, Bucharest, Baku, Beijing and Potrero de los Funes. The International GT Open raced at Valencia. Last edited by NaBUru38; 5 Aug 2021 at 18:10. |

The GT World Challenge also raced at Toronto, Cleveland, Denver and many more street circuits.

Ok race 1 was not the best GT3 race there ever was. First half was disjointed with the opening lap crash and then everybody pitted when it went back to green.
2nd half was a procession. Interstingly it was Audi (KVDL, Rockenfeller) vs Ferrari (Albon) just like Spa 24h. But the pit stop stall from Albon pretty much sealed the results. But the top 3 left the rest of the grid in the dust. Floresh, Gore, and Hawkens make up the back of the grid.....AGAIN. Floresh..palm in face |

yesterday was even worse... in second half of the race she was in last position and despite having a clear track, she was running about 1s slower a lap compared to the driver in front of her (who was running way slower than drivers in top positions). After she retired, was so cringe to watch her race engineer trying to justify her terrible pace due a long brake pedal issue anyway... what can be expected by an instagram influencer posing as a driver? btw also glock was quite ridiculous yesterday, being out of the pace all the time and spinning the car at the end of the race... GLO and FLO is 2021 DTM essence in 6 letters. |

Zolder certainly isnt that great a track, but DTM does seem to be a really enjoyable format for GT3 racing. 20 cars seemed perfect for Zolder this weekend.
