I wonder how LMH and LMDH cars will be balanced going forward in IMSA and the WEC. This is given that reportedly (based on times from the Road Atlanta test today) that the LMDH/GTP cars are barely slower than the DPI cars. At Sebring, the LMH cars in the WEC event were a fair bit slower than the DPIs.

For those who have Zuk's "invention" if you follow Road Atlanta there are a decent number of trackside videos for the 3 cars running this week.
Caddy is slightly different in note, Acura seems a bit louder, don't remember the BMW |

This is definitely going to be an interesting year. So many technical challenges and so many unknowns. The more you follow the hybrid part, the more intriguing it becomes. With all of the hybrid components being the same for all manufacturers, any weak link could become a huge issue across the board. Reliability is one unknown that Daytona will tell for sure. Even a 24-hour "test run" cannot duplicate the possibilities that can occur during a real endurance race.
Will be interesting to see if they will require all LMDh cars to run under electric power in the pits. With that requirement, a hybrid component failure could sideline a team. |

Don’t think it’s a stand alone hybrid system, think the engine needs to be running as well. It’s a different system than the old LMP1 electric launch but MUCH cheaper
