Mad isn't it.
Such a shame too, overall these ruin the look of a GT car. Road or race. |

Imo its at least cool to see these specific details. It may be moving away from what GT was, but I appreciate the way these cars are looking too.

It's okay.
Definitely not the huge look change from 430 to 458 or even 355 to 360, more like 360 to 430. |

Rear diffuser looks a lot more involving then the 458. Sounds okay too for a turbo car.

348 355 360 430 458 488 The successor to the 488 will probably be something where they say "hurr durr it's been the first try with a turbo V8 in a mid-engined Ferrari since the F40 so here is the next big step where we improved it drastically" |

Yeah and the 550 & 575 GTS were almost clones to each other as well.

The 575 was built by Italtechnica (IIRC), on order from Stephane Ratel. Had little success compared to the Prodrive 550's. |

The 575 was built by N Technology by order of Ferrari. Italtechnica built a 550, I believe that was the car that Ratel invested in, not the 575. The 575 only came about because Ferrari wanted some of Prodrives piece of the pie and well we all know how that turned out....didn't help that Ferrari were jumping into bed with Maserati at the time and the MC12 was given much more love. |

I seem to remember Dave Richards saying that when Prodrive used to get the 550 spaceframes delivered from Ferrari no two were the same...

Wasn't one of the early Prodrive 550s rebuilt from a wrecked road 550?

The GT1-spec 550 and 575, however, were largely different from each other, as others mentioned. Ferrari did build the 575 only to capitalize on the Prodrive 550's success, though, since it was introduced late and would soon become obsolete with Corvette and Prodrive's new toy (the DBR9), also Ferrari had the idea to build the MC12 with which they had the opportunity to somewhat bend the rulebook and also was a superior platform to every GT1 competitor of the era.
