Should we expect some black monday announcements. Perhaps drivers leaving rides. Or some sort of announcement of a change? I guess the visitflorida team could be the top of the list of someone to keep an eye on Monday for any press.

He must have deleted it then, because at the moment there isn't anything outrageous on his feed. He's been conversing with Scott Krzastek but again there's nothing risque on his page either.

Mind, a quick look at them social media types shows the (high) level of discontent there is with IMSA's lack of notification as to when the race was going to be called.

IMSA did the best they could. It sounds like most drivers wanted the race ended earlier than it did. Porsche winning overall was a great way to end the season.

I don't post here much and I gotta say I wouldn't typically. Y'all tend to be working out the big problems in the sportscar racing world and I sure wouldn't want to interrupt.

However, I think this weekend should go down in history. Not because of the result but how we got there. Beaux Beaux did an excellent job threading the needle of entertainment and driver safety.

It was really, really tough for the drivers. Tougher than 2009 because that was downpours. It was consistently wet all race long. So stoked they got to 5, everything else was a bonus.

And the amount of die hards at the track was awesome. I headed down knowing my own home in NC could be underwater but thankfully wasnt.

Endurance auto racing fans are best, period. If the driver and marshalls go through hell we may as well too!!!

That was the wettest, most miserable three days I've ever spent at a race track. It was entertaining, though. We packed up at left 30 minutes before they called it. Got out of there before dark and before everyone else tried to leave.

The first time the Porsche led overall we were going crazy, but then they pitted under the yellow knocking them back. Amazing win for Porsche, and an awesome second for BMW. Those Conti tires sure are something! LOL.

I bet everybody were cheering for the GTLM cars to win. That is why we were into it we had a rooting interest. You just doing get that from within the Prototype category right now in IMSA

She was miffed because the race was shortened, their strategy was not for the race to end so soon, and had it gone that way they would have been at the front and she would have won the championship. Really, in that weather they did not think it might get called at anytime?

They said on the race broadcast that each time a full course yellow came out you might as well have thrown out your strategy out the window, because each one could possibly end the race or suspend it until Sunday afternoon. And there was a feeling that if they reached halfway on time or distance, they might call it.

In a way, I'm surprised that with as bad as it was at various times, that they waited to call it after they got past 500 miles rather than 5 hours.

It was something to the extent of what is below.... Scot Elkins even commented on it with an "uh....oh...."

"Thanks for calling the race without warning @IMSA, I'm not happy and neither is my dad, thanks for ruining the GTD championship for everyone, #safetylast"

I'm betting that the convo between the new title sponsor and IMSA after that debacle of an event isn't going to be received well.

I know the conditions were barely driveable for the PC guys, and the Protos had a few issues as well, but the GT cars seemed to keep it on track fairly well. I saw some take through the grass and gravel at T10, but nothing that caused a major yellow that I can remember from GTD or GTLM cars.

Magnus missed 10 twice. The first lap after they put the rear bumper on the Viper it came flying into the gravel trap. Happened again a few laps later. Falken went through 10 once as well.

Yeah, Lizards, and the Aston also took the "short cut" at 10. But all the cars were able to continue.
