Camaroz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Last I heard, about five years ago, a Solicitor in Sydney has "both" Camaro's but will not sell.

Group A&C 2014 program

I heard a while back the 2014 program looks something like

Philip Island - Mar
Eastern Creek
Morgan Park - May (I think)
Winton - Aug
Easter Creek - Sept
Sandown - Nov

Should be good, we are trying to do 3 or 4 races this year.

Nev.

Is this potentially including the invited British and European contingent (mainly RS500's) I read about somewhere?

Well I hope that at least 2 of the 3 TWR Rover Vitesse's based in NZ will come out as well?

One of the cars has been out occasionally in recent years, one was being rebuilt, must be near finished by now surely? And another has just been purchased from the UK.

I think there's one in Sydney that Paul is rebuilding.

I'm sure he said is was originally a TWR Rover that later competed in Australia with Tim Slako in Pink?

http://roversd1australia.wordpress.c...-in-australia/

Cool cars that sound great...I hope they are following the same rules we are for period specification.

Paul's isn't an ex TWR car but may be sourcing TWR bits for it. It was a Patrick Motorsport/Martin Thomas (he of 1970's Camaro fame) built car for UK G1 as long ago as 1980 and then modified to GrA spec by Andy Rouse for Charles Sawyer-Hoare in 1983 then sold to Slako at the end of 1984 or early 1985.

I mentioned that on the fb page, I read it originally in australian muscle car magazine, it was rumoured to become reality if group a/c was a support category at the agp this year, but that didn't happen..

FB page?!

I see, shame it's not happening this year but now that people are talking seriously about it, it can surely only be a matter of time?

Maybe the decent plan will be to meet at some other kind of major international event/venue first? But where is another thing!

Not Sure I could afford the AGP again soon, it was a hoot but the cost of doing Philip Island and the AGP in consecutive weekends was expensive in $ as well as time. Many of the guys come from interstate and have accommodation costs and put their businesses on hold for 1-2 weeks....costly....

I owned and raced Murry's XE from 2056-2008 - Great car. Its now owned by George in Sydney. He bought it to Sandown Historics last November.

Murray's RX7 is nearly finished being rebuilt...
His XD lives in county Victoria in 'as raced' condition
I understand the XC coupe that was XB got gutted to build the XD...
The XC promotional car was sold recently, looked great

I believe this is the car that was impounded by the sherrif and the "subsequent owner" arrested at Eastern Creek Shannons Nationals round a few years ago.

We were in the garage bay next to it when all this went down.
