Having a bit of fun with the caps lock I see...
I've been doing a lot of work on a previous track of mine (some of you will know it as Goodyear Raceway). I will post it here once I'm done, as well as send copies to f1freak and Speed Demon. |

I think it's good t_r. Haven't had a good look at it yet but your new graphics/track stats look great! Bit suprised you're younger than me and can do something like that (thus me "kicking it up a notch" on my older tracks)! One question though-a wood oval?

Do you think it's parents rejected it when it was born on a rocky outcrop to a family of walruses in the antarctic circle somewhere?

ah, thought it was a bit more than that but either way I didn't want to make it sound like you were a "kid"-just sort of suprised you could do that with Paint .

Hmm, you young'ns
I think that it's the best Williams i've seen, at least since 1997, but it's not pretty. I'm just glad it was them that finally stuck their neck out and implemented that kind of drastic nose solution with the double keel. Sauber have had something similar (albeit far more basic) since 2001, and it was predicted in a 2001 issue of F1 magazine that Ferrari would try this for 2002, but until now no one has actually had the guts. I think this will be pretty quick. The best part of the package IMO will be the P84 BMW V10 i think however. Last edited by pirenzo; 6 Jan 2004 at 17:09. |

To Pirenzo:
YES!!!!! I'm very glad that someone bought these tradition-rich circuits in British motorsports.....and now others can write new chapters to the long histories of each!!!! Concering the New Williams F1: Way back in 1968 at the Indy 500 (in a time when there was a lot of innovation at the Brickyard), Johnny Rutherford qualified a car that had a similar (but not nearly as aero sophisticated) type of "double keel" nose on it.... He made the front rwo of the grid with the design, and it never resurfaced...until now.... |

I'm really pleased, i was worried they'd go, which would have been an incredible disappointment, Brands is what got me into racing cars in the first place back when i was just 5 years old watching the old Ford Escort Cosworth tourers of the day. Man they were damn quick on that full circuit, and that day was my first taste of the Pilgrims Drop Bullet as i call it (Pilgrim's drop is the steep drop on the longest straight, leading into a forth gear 120mph right hander. At the top of the drop is a track crossing bridge for cars and pedestrians, and on the left hand side of the bridge is a track access road for ambulances etc. It's usually cordened off by a big metal gate hinged on the end of the bridge. You stand on the gate and look straight ahead down the track, and listen out for the cars as they accelerate towards the drop from somewhere behind you. They appear on your right from under the bridge like a bullet out of a gun, and the whole gate shakes like hell, and for a 5 year old that was a hell of a buzz. It still is) |

I recently did an edit of Calder Park in Australia after watching my 1998 Australian Super Touring Championship review! The first one is the track with my edits in brown, the second one is the original if anyone wants to change anything on it. I think i will concentrate on Australian tracks for a few days, i will do Oran Park next.

I like what you did to Calder P but Duffacus I have always thought that the 1st turn for Oran should be just that little bit tighter. I may be wrong with that thought though. The rest is good just because it is different

Quite good CG. I was just about to scan in something i've done on a piece of paper tonight, and it's a similar long curves mixed with tight corners circuit, and it even runs acw like yours. Wierd eh?
