to come back to the topic, what are the news about possible engine development for next year ?At the beginning of the projet , I remember some rumors about a 2 liter turbocharged engine...
Is this engine been developed ? Is it an option for the future ( 2013 or 2014 with the new regulation) ? |

Seeing as they weren't far behind on efficiency at LeMans, and especially at Brazil, if they update the engine with say their D4S d-i tech, they may match Audi in that department. Or not, we don't know yet, but it's interesting to guess what gains could be made with such a young car.

One of the recently added galleries at toyotahybridracing.com has this wind tunnel model photo (obviously an old one, but maybe worth posting):

Sorry if this sounds silly, but who are Denso? I've seen their logo on most Toyota racing cars, the odd Subaru and the STCC/WTCC Volvo C30.

The article mentions that the power output of Denso MGU is 220 kW/300 hp and the voltage of Nisshinbo supercapacitor is 700 V. |

I know humor, and I can be pretty sarcastic myself. However joking about a matter like War Crimes (which you indirectly were), is just awful taste, which is why i wrote what i wrote.
In your post you didn't in any way indicate that it was a joke. Said face-to-face it might have been understood, but in text, you can't, so at least consider making this clear in the first place! (it does however still not make it an ok joke in my taste) I'm not going to dig more into this matter, i just felt it was necessary to point out the fact that your post is very offensive to many around the world. EDIT: Let's stop this Off Topic subject now - no need to ruin the Toyota thread. |

Cripes. they are big numbers. I wonder what the folks at williams and audi think of that. also the fact that toyota can use it at any speed too. Did the 120kph limit help toyota at saopalo????....whats the slowest corner speed at saopalo???....

After protests, Toyota reduces China-bound cars I think it may not be safe for Toyota to race in Shanghai if the situation does not improve. Yes, they have no Japanese drivers and only a few Japanese staff, but the name itself is enough to provoke problems. Taking Nakajima to Shanghai is certainly not a very good idea at the moment. |

Chinese round is still a good deal of time from now. Hopefully the situation improves by then. If it doesn't I still don't think Toyota will not race there.

Apparently, Toyota were surprised by how much time they lost in the pits at Silverstone and had found a way to improve fuel flow out of the storage tank and into the refuelling hose in time for Interlagos. Trussers also speculates that they may have simply forgotten to insert the flow optimiser into the outlet of the fuel storage tank....oops! |
