Another half a second, and he would have been clear of the Alpine's nose. |

I love koba aggressive driving style, but sometimes he takes unnecessary risk.

90-second stop/go penalty for Kobayashi.
Frietas is not pleased. #28 in the barrier as well. Another FCY coming. Edit - I think the silly hats have been put on in the last couple of hours. Too many drivers taking liberties with their, and each other's cars. Last edited by J Jay; 10 Jul 2022 at 15:25. |

Both Estre & Pier Guidi have been rather lucky that neither have been taken out.
Edit - #92 penalised for his nonsense with Pier Guidi and Aberdein. Last edited by J Jay; 10 Jul 2022 at 15:43. |

Good point by the broadcasters, the 92 gets a drive through for contact with different cars and it was done on purpose, but the toyota gets a 90 second penalty for a mistake?

However, Estre should have received at least 60 seconds for his deliberate shoving and squeezing. He's been let off with just a drive-through. Has Tandy pulled off a mega strategy here for Corvette... |

Alpine/Oreca/Rebellion wins, #41 in LMP2, Corvette in GTE Pro and #77 in GTE Am. Great drive by Alpine, good pace and good stint lengths. Sad for Glick...

That was an interesting race, and ironically not because of Peugeot. Lots of work to do for them, but they can only improve from here. Alpine manages to win and keep their lead in Hypercar
A missed opportunity for Glickenhaus with a rare engine(?) failure. Congrats to Corvette for that win, well-executed. Can't wait to see Pier Guidi X Estre antics next year in hypercar |

Yes, he locked or something and clipped inside curbing, and that had the effect of sending him sideways across to the curbing-the impact ofvwhich knocked the door off, crumpled the floor and launched the car.

Congratulations to Corvette on their first WEC victory and also to Alpine for another win in the Hypercar class.
I'm sure this has been debated to death already on here... But how do you think the ACO, Toyota etc are feeling about seeing an LMP1 grandfathered car potentially winning the Hypercar class? |

Toyota - Missed opportunity to pick up a relatively easy WEC championship, before the other factories show up en masse. In both cases, they should appreciate that their achievements would be diminished without Alpine there to race against. |

Really enjoyed that race. Action and surprises right to the end.
Looking at Peugeot's troubled race after 15000km of testing you would think Penske/Porsche would be doing all they can to get a car to Bahrain to get a race under their belts before it gets serious next year. No substitute for the rough and tumble of competition. |

What a race! Really delivered in all classes. Kind of ironic that after the hype Peugeot ended up being a footnote. But their time will come, and I think that's validated their decision not to show up at Le Mans.
I'm sure the BoP will swing back Toyota's way for Fuji but yeah, absolutely loved it! |
