The Porsche's aero is relatively skinny anyway because it gives them more consistent opportunities to recoup their energy allowance. A good test from here will be to see whether the #17 gets past #8 Audi for third. It's the better part of a lap back at the moment, but lapping quite a bit faster.
I'd not call it for Porsche yet but it's looking good. |

Theyll be done with this version for a few months. So theres no reason to dwell on it. All their focus is on the LM package. Thatll be running in a couple weeks time. Audi was not winning these races last year, then took LM. At least the Toyota is reliable.

They're looking as good as you can before Le Mans! But two bullets in the gun have already had troubled races, which kind of goes back to what we were saying the other day. It's as important to harvest luck as it is energy in the current era.

And confirmation that the #7 has double stinted, it takes the lead.

Wont be surprised if Nissan is quicker than Toyota at Le Mans.

If I'm correct, out of the factory cars, only the #2 and the #18 haven't had problems

audi and porsche built 2 incredible rocketships. i thought the rules won't allow cars to take down peugeot's records in 2008/2010 and here we are with audi and porsche 2 seconds quicker than the 908 on spa. wonder how that will translate to le mans.

Toyota wont be running a high d/f car at Le Mans. And Nissan only has 2mj. Even Toyota's 'slow' car beat Peugeots lap record here.
Looks like Lotterer's tires are falling away. |

Toyota are really slow... I don't think even a new l/d package will help them, they lost the straightline acceleration advantage to Porsche and Audi is nearly equal...
Don't think Nissan will be faster than Toyota, though. |

The #7's tyres aren't falling off a cliff, but now the #18 can keep up in S2.
Edit - That was clever from Lotterer. |

Seems like Lieb is realy nice to his tires. Substantially slower laptimes than Dumas. Will be interesting to see if the fresh tire Audi can catch the old tires Porsche.
