As to combined F1/moto events. Why would you take two sell out events and turn them into 1? Sounds like youre hslving your revenue

A lot of drivers who couldn’t cut it in F1 have become superstars in the WEC/Le Mans world.Stroll is around the level of a number of those drivers.

Looks like Logan Sargeant's F1 driver career is close to completion.
Of course, much speculation on who might get the seat. |

If he's out for Imola, that's a bit of a sadly poetic end to his career. In the wall in his home race.

So has Perez been offered a 1 year deal or not? Thats what was promoted on 1 website but Perez has requested 2 x years
I cant see any movement with Red Bull or the Sister team next year. I think both will run same drivers as 2024 |

I'm not sure progressing with a 35yr old Ricciardo whose best is clearly behind him, while letting Lawson walk is the smartest move. |

Rumours are he's been guaranteed a race drive by 2025 at the latest.

If Red Bull is looking to keep Perez for just one year, I see it as them signaling they are kicking the can down the road regarding who to partner with Max. So they are not ready or willing to move up Ricciardo or Tsunoda next year (which doesn't surprise me at all). It also seems they don't have options for other existing drivers on the grid or someone like Lawson who looks promising. But they are keeping options open for 2026.
I think Tsunoda has been making big improvements, but I can see logic in having him continue to develop and mature in VCARB for another year. I can imagine at one level Tsunoda is in the team due to Honda, but he is showing enough speed that he may have a future beyond Honda backing? I think Tsunoda's biggest issue is maturity and not lack of speed and hopefully as time passes the maturity will continue to come to him. With Ricciardo it just seems to be a long wait to see if he will get his mojo back. It was nice to see Ricciardo do well at the Miami sprint, but it seems like his problem is lack of consistently good performance. That overall Tsunoda continues to out perform him most of the time. So if Ricciardo is inconsistent, is this not the main criticism of Perez? Why replace Perez with another Perez and potentially a worse version of him? And while we are approaching 1/3rd of the way through this season, do we expect the character of Ricciardo's performance to change at this stage in his career? If Red Bull is offering Perez a one year contract and he is playing chicken and wants a two year one instead. I can imagine Red Bull calling his bluff. Take the one year or nothing. If Perez walks (would be dumb on his part), I think Red Bull would gamble and put Tsunoda in the car for just a year (or maybe Lawson!), but that is not what they want to do. What I think they want to do is keep Tsunoda at VCARB next year, replace Ricciardo with Lawson and then re-evaluate for 2026 with respect to Tsunoda (is he tracking in right direction) or Lawson (is he the real deal) moving up to partner with Max at Red Bull in 2026, or if they might find an existing driver (no idea what the market looks like for 2026 with respect to open contracts). And if Lawson has a contract with Red Bull (for Red Bull to place him in either team) for for 2025, this makes sense. Richard |

Tsunoda to Aston I think with Honda coming later. Stroll out. Ricciardo stays at RB alongside Lawson, would be my guess.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anybody from Red Bull rate Yuki highly.

It was, but Stroll has already sold a minor stake in AMR and is allegedly looking to sell up to another 25% stake, so this means there will be more people looking at the performance of Stroll jnr than Laurence and to account to.

Joe's recent post has lots of speculation on driver swaps and other future staff moves.
https://joesaward.wordpress.com/2024...sesame-street/ Summary on drivers... * Audi unlikely to make much headway in the short term. So Audi probably not a great place for Carlos. Carlos has 2+2 (2 year with option for additional 2 if Carlos wants) offer from Williams * Potential for Red Bull to swap Lawson into Ricciardo's seat during the summer break. * Antonelli to Mercedes * Maybe Jack Doohan to Alpine * Ocon to Haas Richard |

I forgot to mention earlier, he also says Bearman to Haas. Which is not a surprise. Richard |
