All cars have some form of a waiver. So in that sense, everyone has been favored. Im not pretending A-M hasnt. Maybe more on one car than another, but maybe that means you should make a worse performing car to get more breaks. If thats the case, A-M may be the smartest competitor.

GTE, GT3 and GT4 updates. Reckon there might be some diffuser damage next year.

I noticed this tidbit on Autosport. I hadnt heard that Mucke had announced he was leaving AMR at the end of the season.

Good spot, good enough for a double post!
That appointment would have been out of left field, but there you have it, I wouldn't blame Mucke for wanting to reunite with Howard-Chappell. |

Interesting, I had heard (before he resigned for Aston) a rumour about Darren Turner to Ford. Wonder if the source got their drivers mixed around.

"Rulemakers have acknowledged they have made a mistake" Lol what a load of crap, despite what AMR thinks everything doesn't revolve around them They've whined so much in public this year already after for once not having the most overwhelming bop giftshack as usual. But I never remember head of Ferrari crying to public media despite 458 obviously having the lowest allowances. Not even whe the other babies destroyed their direct injection run. Not on direct quotes anyway (which is by interesting considering Ferrari F1 prob would have already burned the bridges) Last edited by Deleted; 9 Oct 2015 at 00:42. |

Who cares? As long as the racing is good, let them all complain. It goes away next year anyway, hopefully.

Report in Autosport says AM are close to a deal to put their name on Force India F1 cars. Guess this might affect GT teams

As referenced in the story, this was rumored months ago but with Red Bull and Williams. Clearly it is just a sponsorship deal plus maybe getting some tech from Force India in return, so implications to GT program should be financial rather than resources. Anyway, this sort of rebranding even if the engine stays as a Mercedes = ewww yuk. |

It was mentioned during the coverage this morning that Aston Martin dont have access to the development tyres that Porsche & Ferrari do. Is this true? If so how would AMR put themselves in that position?

Matt Bell, Dan Lloyd, Ross Gunn, Jamie Chadwick, Jody Fannin and Devon Modell picked for end of season young driver test.
One of them will get a works contract based on their performances at the test and throughout the year. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/121776 |

Aston is reportedly looking, maybe, at Dunlop tires. Honestly, that would be nice to be the someone breaking the norm and bringing tire war back. However I guess as tires are now gonna enter into GTE BoP equations as well, it would help to have something else than others to have basis for even more arguments/moaning. It could be Pirelli 2006 all over again but with even less of a case.
They also tested today the updated 16 car, which was over a second slower than the current one. Last edited by Deleted; 22 Nov 2015 at 17:48. |

I don't know, Dagys made the reference
However, by Sunday the useless Pirelli trash and sand on surface slowing them down was already weaker than previously, after all the Mic/Dunlop running in the 6h, so that quickens it. |

Times are here: fiawec.alkamelsystems.com
There was some mention during the test that some of the Aston drivers' transponders had got mixed up so I don't know if these are the corrected times or not. Presume they are. |
