Yeah, £550K is about €630k, insanely expensive considering that new 2019 R8 price tag is about €400k. Anyway this car is basically a 2018 vantage GTE with some different parts.... very expensive for a gt3, quite cheap for a GTE.
Guess you should be a rich and big AMR fan to buy new vantage gt3. |

The other convertible GT3-GTE car, the Ferrari, is also expensive. Around the same price of the Aston.

The new Aston GT3 is £425k. the GTE upgrade kit should be around £250k.

Good to see Jamie Chadwick back in an Aston- she's been signed as an official AMR junior driver alongside her single-seater commitments http://www.dailysportscar.com/2019/0...-24-hours.html |

My friend Erwan took some pics of the DBR1-2 when it was racing earlier this year at Paul Ricard and Jurek had some pics laying around from 2009, so we decided to do a little write up and get Chris Buncombe's take on the car. He actually raced that very same car (chassis B0860-HU02) back in 2009.
Unfortunately I never got to see (and hear) it race, but it's still one of the coolest cars I've ever seen. Hope it's of interest to any of you! https://gt.report/tFbm6 |

It seems there will be another Aston Martin V12 'prototype' if SC365's story is true and they use the Valkyrie in the new lmp1/hypercar regs.

Tech question about the current Vantage GTE and GT3 cars. Why are the exhaust exits so close to the front wheels? Is it just to have short exhaust pipes to reduce back pressure/boost power and torque, or is it strictly driven by packaging due to the turbos being within the V of the engine?
I know that the BMW M8 runs similar turbocharger packaging, but has a conventional side exit (albeit on only the right side of the car) exhaust system. I think it looks cool and reminds me of some of the old JGTC/Super GT cars (Nissan Skyline GTR and 350Z, eventually the Honda HSV and Lexus SC430), but it seems odd for a GTE/GT3 car. |

Multimatic linked to hypercar project. We'll know soon if the rumor about an imminent announcement today after ACO press conference holds true. |

The new car will feature a race-prepared version of its bespoke high-revving normally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine.
High Revving 6.5L V12. Yummy !!!!!! |

I know that I've been asking a few tech questions about AMR racing cars, but anyone know the suspension configuration of the Valkyrie? As in is it similar to current F1/LMP1 cars?

Good looking vehicle for sure. Wonder if they will go with daiglow yellow or dark green for the livery?

I think as much as they have publicized the car with the green and day-glo strip it will have to be that livery in race trim. Fits with the previous Aston projects and much better than the hideous GTE crime on the eyes
