Again the anticipation is just huge for the final round on the forum.
Maybe making race-by-race threads might help. Should be a good evening for sportscar fans with ELMS/Grand Am deciders. |

Suspect for next year, race by race threads might be the way forward, we shall see.
In the meantime the race at Ricard's looking perfectly decent and an enjoyable bit of background for Saturday afternoon. |

Struck by how impressive Natascha Gachnang has been today - solid season for her this year.

I hadn't even realized the ELMS had a race today, until I started reading this thread. Caught the last ten minutes. |

Hindaugh during ELMS broadcast:" ...one customer 991 headed to Walker Racing, or so Derrick keeps telling everyone..."
Really not liking Hindaugh's tone there. I'm pretty sure Derrick Walker has a better idea what's going on with the 991 project than some radio broadcaster. |

It's really refreshing to see Murphy Prototypes finally break through and snatch an ELMS win. It really should have happened earlier. Congratulations Brendon and Jonathan!
Unfortunately I didn't see the whole race. What happened to the #1 TDS car? |

Mathias Beche lost a rear wheel, which forced the TDS car into the pits for several laps. |

Worth tracking down the race, not a classic, and some curious directing, but pretty absorbing throughout. I've been really pleasantly surprised by the ELMS this year, right from Silverstone through to today - good quality LMP2 field with some strength in depth, and GT portfolio that's pleasingly varied with the GTC machinery chucked in there. Really looking forward to next year now. Is there a prospect of any of the ELMS crowd having a punt at PLM to give them something to do for the rest of the season? |

yeah, i was pretty much gripped by the race today as well. it was a very good one. lots of shenanigans up front, and it could have been even more interesting had signatech/alpine not had the faffery with the steering wheel. and tds hadn't lost a wheel. then iirc they got a slap twice for pitstop procedure - was that the repairing the car in a garage instead of the paddock thing? or was it at a later stop?
gachnang did indeed have a really good race, but as per autosport, hartley was limping home with duff brakes and turvey's car (jota?) had a duff accelerator pedal. i think panciatici/ragues is a pretty good driver pairing. they were obviously fortunate with the driver rating thingy at the start of the season and ragues being downgraded otherwise they'd have had to run a different team. but that aside, they seem to compliment each other fairly well, and ragues did a decent job in hungary. panciatici has a fair bit more pace (he's about as quick as hartley, give or take a far more delicate driving style), but ragues is no slouch. the interesting one for me in lmp2 has been turvey. his pace in qualifying has been epic. |

A well-made, fifty-minute video review of the season is available on the net. Please send me a PM if you can't find it on your own.
