Another name to throw into the mix is Dan Lloyd for 2025. In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W39enaBx92w towards the end, he mentions that has an option for BTCC and for Porsche's. But I guess that every driver has "options for BTCC". I guess it's more down to who can raise the cash and sign on the dotted line the quickest.

On a side note, going back to a conversation from an age ago, Dan Lloyd is another driver to earn a wage from racing.

If they are back at Cosworth, then the test will have been the same as in-season driver evaluations (no battery or Hybrid motor fitted).

If the team are looking for indicative performance, they could add ballast and turn up the boost on the engine if they wanted to.

A lot of what the teams seem to be optimising on the cars in the last couple of seasons is weight distribution and charge cooling.

On this point, pretty much every driver on the grid takes a slice of the budget they bring as a form of wages, Plato was the first to do it and soon everyone wondered why they never thought of it sooner, 10-15k plus a ''day job'' salary whatever that is, is a decent income. Obviously some are taking even more than that.

Yes, some are taking considerably more than that! (Sutton, Turkington, Ingram and Hill)

I remember hearing stories years ago about a relative of a current driver, who allegedly took a £600k budget from the family firm, paid the team around 75% of that and took the rest as "salary" and called himself a paid works driver. Fair play.

I believe there is only one who was on this year's grid, who's had a relative appear in the past as well.

If it's the driver I'm thinking of, the manufacturer admitted later that it wasn't a paid works drive given to the best driver - but a subsidised works drive given to the driver with the best financial package.

DeLeon will be staying in the basis that it's his Dad's team. They have two cars.

Also heard on the grapevine that Carl Boardley may have sold his Cupra.

Are you saying Daryl's dad has bought Un-Limited from Bob Sharpless?

Vertu Motors become Excelr8 title sponsor for next year (same group as BSM), and Ingram and Chilton are retained:
