Quick question...

What Mondeo models would people be interested in IF they were available?

97/98 factory BTCC cars for me. Also, very unlikely to be made due to small demand but any that competed at the Australian Bathurst races would be on my purchase list also.

Just thought I would let you guys and gals know that over on the IXO Model website if you answer a questionairre you can win a special model.

They just want feedback on their models and ideas for the future. Poulsonabean, just thought this may help with the quest for more BTCC model productions so we can make ourselves hears, who crave BTCC models!

What I want from IXO is them to use sensible bloody screws in the bottom of their models not that sodding triangular thing that I can never get undone.

Going back to the subject of Mondeos - there are quite a few on ebay at the moment including the Kaye, Neal and Mansell cars (although there is a fair bit of decal yellowing on the first two of those by the look of it).

You can buy one of these 'screwdrivers' for a very small fee!

The only problem is the postage costs more than the tool.

Was wondering the same kid, doubt i'm on the top 100 either. Ah well!!

Good to see such firms canvassing for opinion though. My 'suggestions' centred on pre Supertouring era as wasn't all that keen on the 2 litre stuff.

Now Autoart and Minichamps let's have the same questions from you for 1:18 please!!

Thanks for that. I too completed the survey with little hope of winning, but to give my suggestions about mondeos etc. If anyone on here has won, please let us know what the model is. I can just see it being some old stuff they cant shift lol.

2 minutes with a dremmel does the trick, make one cut across the screw, very soft screw

found a 1.43 minichamps 1995 bmw ....only knew of the solido version which was poor as such? looks a nice model but the price is strong.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-3-series-1...item27b17a0163

1993 solido custom? made for the sponser. i think this is the base for the solido 1995 model as i dont remember seeing the spoiler on the back?

Price a bit strong?? A bit OTT me thinks. The Brabham car seems rarer than the Cecotto version.

I think these were done by Motorpro? The biggest problem with this are the decals. Horrendously off colour. They are not faded, that's how they started! I had one and thought I would replace the decals but the ones they sent were the same.

Might be one for the collector though.

The 1995 BMW is very rare, i was lucky with mine, paid about £50 from what i can remember. £99 is pretty steep, but they are very rare.

The 1996 BMW is also a rare car too, i seem to recall buying mine at the same time as i bought the 95 BMW roughly, one came from Germany, cant remember which.

PDS, i am not aware that a 1995 Brabham BMW was produced by Minichamps at all, Solido did produce the Ceccoto and Brabham versions, but the solido version is rather poor.

I have two of these, the last one I paid £17.45 and that included postage from Germany!

I did say it was rare...

Yes you are right. Minichamps only produced the Cecotto car as a BMW dealer edition as they only produced the Winkelhock car for 96!
The Brabham cars out there are either BBR resin models or Minichamp conversions?

Sorry for going off the current topic but i've recently acquired both Vanguards BTCC 3 litre Capris and both the RS1600i's. They really are nice litte cars for the 'cheaper end' of the market.

Also got the McGovern Bevan Imp and am looking out for a Broadspeed Dolly Sprint. I think those 6 cars are the only BTCC ones in the range at present apart from the Top Hat range?

I'm waiting for Vanguard's SD1's to sprout racing liveries!! What i'd give for a Sanyo or Patrick Motors version!!
