Did Loeb Racing race their McLarens last year already? Anyway, it seems hard to imagine that they bought the cars for just a year/2 years of competition.

Blancpain or sticking with French GT seem viable options. Selling the cars is another of course.

Luck is luck, in fact, in a 3 hour race a wreckage is more definitive (two races), and a pit stop for mending something less definitive, in a 24h race if u've got to repair something taking beyond four-five laps is almost enogh to not win what would loeb seek.

I think the one who is wasting this oportunity is Parente, to win by the nine times world champion side, would boost his reputation out of GT racing.

I've seen more beautifull Corvettes, but i will not complain anymore while they are on track.

They are in more danger of being decapitated or losing a leg to the MASSIVE dive planes. I mean seriously, I was gobsmacked when I saw the size of the things.

Nice photos!

What a shame Loeb was out of the race already so early on Saturday. He's one of the high lights of FIA GT and I was looking forward getting some more photos of him. Oh well.

Okay, I always thought they were overdoing it with the temporary chicanes at the Slovakiaring, but perhaps they made a good call...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrO58jIiEQQ

I think they may need to flatten it just a bit so they don't have to put those stupid barriers up.

Just because their boss will be busy driving a sedan, doesn't mean that the team can't compete in the SRO series in the nearest future.

Perhaps Loeb can race both series next year. We still do not know if the schedules overlap.

If loebs wants to run a National French champ, then he should run BES instead of Fia GT sprint series, the pro competition is toughter, and maybe as discused above as there is only one single race there is less contact between cars, something usually is afecting him. Also if i were him i would change the Mclaren for something more reliable like Audi, Ferrari or BMW.

The McLaren has been a huge let down on reliability. I really want it to do well, and it adds variety. It would be a shame if it were replaced with another Audi, Ferrari, BMW, Merc or whatever as there are plenty of them already. The used to run an SLS, maybe they would go back to one?

Yes, but the point is he is 9 time world champion, if the car is unreliable, stick to Parente and Chris Goodwin to develop it and bring home great results, if Loeb is leaving GT racing for unreliability of the cars he drives is worst for all of us, its crude but sincere.

Also I guess for what we can see, the Vantage V12 is more reliable and also BES is short of them (avoiding talking about Lambos,Nissans).

How has the car been unreliable? Other than Hexis having an engine issue the 12C GT3 has finished every race this year fault free....

From what I know last race's Championship Race Parente didn't do anything wrong the second stint of the CR I guess it was in the last lap. I guess it was a Mechanical failure but if someonelse confirms it wasn't i'll go and check that part of the streaming again. Don't matter if it was engine or gearbox or other piece.

Could have been fuel or rather lack of it. Not sure.

Just seen an article about it:

http://www.motorsport.com/fia-gt/new...-at-zandvoort/

Transmission Issues.

2 fails on three races, Loeb has reasons to compain, and moreover with mclaren, assuming some driving issues (non mechanical issues) where caused by their test driver too.

Seems to be a recurring theme with the McLaren. I have yet to see the McLaren do more than 3 race laps at the Ring this year. And I have only missed one race so far...

Vitantonio Liuzzi, Mathias Lauda and Markus Fux at first sight good drivers.

Want to see if she is prepared for that role or if it is a show off matter. Time will say if it's a little more of circus or something serious, the fact is the Sprint series needs a bit more star GT renowned drivers, and less stars from everywhere else.

Fux in both cases was the master of puppets...

I would say that 99% they will never show up...

People not showing off at Ratels sprint series?, it would not surprise me, but this time i am not sure, just consider the Azerbaijanies pay and quite .... this time, their bigger ROI for their business it's there.
