balance is a big word, but considering gtlm, gtd and lmp3 have all a more or less comparable top speed there will be some fun with divebombing people in slow corners

Heart of Racing Aston Martin got better and better as the season went on. Great to see that group jell with the car. Hope they can carry their momentum into Daytona.
I would love to see the factory AMR team back. Even if it is a Daytona GTD effort with Dalla Lana. But I think it should be with the daiglow and green factory livery. |

It might be more suited to the F1 forum, but the type of car used may be relevant here.
To directly answer the thread title - providing safety and medical cars to F1: Aston Martin to provide F1 safety cars from 2021 'While it's not clear which road car from Aston Martin’s portfolio will act as safety car, a race-derived Vantage is said to be currently favourite for the role. The medical car will be a DBX, which uses the same 4.0-litre V8 engine as the current AMG GT R cars that act as safety and medical cars.' |

no surprise... aston martin under AMG/mercedes influence is going to become what maserati was for ferrari/fiat. An AMG related luxury brand. |

It gives us a bit of variety. But hey we don't watch races for the SC, even though they do happen. At least the Aston Martin name can live on thanks to Merc. I wonder if we'll ever see Maserati back in F1? Could happen, but they would need to get away from Ferrari a bit. I'm sure we'll have plenty more car brands in the future no doubt somewhere along the line

Nice to see the Valkyrie project is still keeping people employed, in this case lawyers.

Nice.
They messed us around a bit, but the road car is impressive. |

Looks nice, but from a racing perspective, wholly pointless.

Ground effects it talks about, not sure that's legal in current LM hypercar? Tough to see this shelved for their (mediocre imo) F1 rebranding.

Yes, it'd be nice, but I very much doubt that we'll see it.

Agreed. There's no class for cars like this anywhere, not that I'm aware anyway. Well, other than Pikes Peak...
Why wouldn't it, with a lot more power and downforce that an LMH which will probably do 3:25 anyway? |
