Engineering resource where? At Aston Martin Lagonda, Aston Martin Performance Technologies or Aston Martin Racing?

Basically, they will be taking the same track as Porsche, BMW, Alpine.... Practically everyone. Build the car to the rules , wether it's LMH or LMDh, and bring in or sign with a team with proper or winning creds, and go racing.
Let the team handle the on track stuff, and let the manufacturer handle the logistics. No problems there, eh Graham? |

Sounds about right-ish. The only team not operating like that currently is Toyota and even when they stepped in they had partnered up with ORECA. |

and they've been in the dance since LMP1h. When the Hypercar rules first came In, they were ready to go, right out the box. Peugeot tried with an abbreviated '22 season, but were really no match. Glickenhaus were game, along with a grandfathered Alpine LMP1, but the organizers had to BoP the neck to make them competitive. Then there's Ferrari, but still...

Would not be surprised. The team has lost pace and he probably has had enough of investing in the team |

Is it the F1 team or his remaining shares in Aston Martin Lagonda?

Would get much more for the F1 team than he's invested in AML or the value of AML shares |

Looks like they have a plan besides Le Mans, and it's a good one...

A factory effort funded privately, selling cars to privateer customers. Guessing we'll see an additional car in each series by 2026.

In the Autosport article it pointed out that Aston started thinking about this in seriously again early this year (around March?) and Heart of Racing didn't prompt this, but quickly after became involved in the discussions (as were others). The first drivers considered will come from and other AM GT ranks. With others from outside possible to fill in gaps. |

And it looks like everyone in IMSA and WEC is A-Okay with AM joining, including the other manufacturers. "The more the merrier...", they say.

An Argentine Turismo Carretera sounds much better than the WEC and the Valkyria is once again a sound paradise https://youtu.be/JxPGh-JYgyk?si=ENYsNtLD6c2hf1vY |

Since finding out that Multimatic worked with AM on the Valkyrie, just how much of that went into the 963, and will that reciprocate to the race Valkyrie in '25...
Just a thought... |

So the v12 as it is develops 1100bhp? So if they intend on using this engine would they have an imposed rev limit to bring it down to the 600 odd bop required for the LMH class? I imagine a rev limit would be preferable to an air restrictior? The thing is, it’s only going to be revving to about 6000 rpm or something…? Purely from a competitive point of view I wonder if they would be better off with a turbo V8? Less weight, less heat, not as prone to atmospheric changes?

Actually, it's a10K RPM limit and 520kw equivalent, so there shouldn't be a problem. Remember, they would be far better than Glickenhaus and Vanwall, since it would be a competitive car and not a compromise.
