Overall, KIA has such non existent history in motor racing, that it would be fascinating to see them on the grid. Particularly with more of a works effort.

Mark0994 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
That Stohl Racing is Manfred Stohl team?
There was story on TCT that Stohl will maybe drive WRX STi in TCR Germany

Stohl Racing develop a CTCC Car and insert a Team in the WRX, too

Stohl on facebook: What will Stohl Racing do in 2016? A lot of touringcar racing! Watch out for some BIG news soon.

With some images of a car that's not really identifiable. Guess we'll just have to keep an eye out!

Edit: in the reactions a guy asks 'TCR maybe?', on which they answer 'One will see '. I'm still thinking TCR rather than WTCC to be honest.

Stohl would do TCR with a Subaru, he tested that car - and this is not a Subaru.

That Stohl car looks like a Hyundai to me and it's definitely no TC1 car.

Would love to see KIA and Volvo join at the same time. It'd certainly give the WTCC some much needed publicity...

Yeap, Stohl indeed tested a Subaru a few days ago, so looks likely.

As for the picture, I will stick to my point of view and say that it is a TC1 car. Anyway, time will tell

I'll have to explain my previous post.

This looks like a TC1 car, a KIA C'eed. I agree. But I didn't refer to this car/photo.

However, the car I referred to in my post was the Stohl Racing car, which looks like a KIA K3S:

As a reference, this is a KIA K3S from chinese CTCC:

Note the front design, door mirrors, hood air vents, rear wing etc. The Stohl Racing KIA does not seem to have the TCR common front splitter and rear wing. It looks more like a S2000 or CTCC car with a revised aero kit from the ones actually competing in CTCC.

But hey, God knows what a Chinese touring car doing in Austria right now . Hopefully either WTCC or TCR gets a new manufacturer.

I'd love to be proven wrong though!
I assume it's a TCR car but it could also be a WRX car.

Nice to see 20 cars, but René Münnich will have very busy schedule.
WTCC with Cruze
TCR with Civic (Selected rounds)
WRX with Ibiza
And all with his team
Confilcts:
3.April: WTCC (France) TCR (Bahrain)
17.April: WTCC (Slovakia) WRX (Portugal)
24.April: WTCC(Hungary) TCR (Portugal)
8.May: WTCC (Morocco) TCR (Belgium) WRX (Germany)
28.May: WTCC (Germany) WRX (Great Britain)
12.June: WTCC (Russia) WRX (Norway)
3.July: TCR (Russia) WRX (Sweden)
7.August: WTCC (Argentina) WRX (Canada)
4.September: WTCC (Japan) WRX (Frnace)
18.September: TCR (Singapore) WRX (Spain)
2.October: TCR (Malaysia) WRX (Latvia)
I think he will drive TCR on round that are no in conflict, but for WTCC and WRX conflict i don't know.
He is good in Rallycross and they need to develop new Ibiza for it.
Any opinions?

While its great for the championship that Coronel managed to find his funding, it hurts to see him in that uncompetative Chevy again. Even though he'll probably get Chiltons updated chassis rather than the 2014 spec he drove last year he'll still spend most of his time in the midfield again instead of fighting for podiums. And I wish him so much more than that...

Great to have Tom back and seeing the 20 car grid, well more would be a bonus.

Volvo looking good, hope they have a good season

Hopefully it'll be a closer season this season, certainly it deserves to be
