I believe a win for Corvette will make it nearly impossible for them not to win the championship.

If things stay as it (pending post race tech), it does seem that only maybe 2-3 teams are in mathematical contention now in GTE Am and they can wrap up the title at Monza.

Are we back to no tyre warmers again?
Although Milan in July is probably warmer than the Ardennes in April... |

Top 10 within a second, and Glickenhaus going well.

Nah we're not there yet. Hopefully in years to come we'll get FP1/2 coverage.
FP3 stream seems nicely established now and back tomorrow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GlyXsotpfQ |

https://securityaffairs.com/148587/s...data-leak.html
We already knew that the technical execution of the WEC site, app and services was exceptionally poorly, but to have this sort of data available on a public AWS S3 Bucket is incompetence on a ridiculous level. Maybe they should actually pay for a proper web development team now. Last edited by Akrapovic; 19 Jul 2023 at 15:43. |

Why has a series website aimed at consumers access to personal data of drivers?

There will be a subdomain of fiawec.com somewhere that'll be something like competitors.fiawec.com that is the competition portal. One of our clients at work does this. They have client.com but they also have dev.client.com as a subdomain.
Using your primary domain obviously makes it a hell of a target, and having exposed buckets (turns out it was Google Cloud, not AWS S3, but same thing really) is the low hanging fruit for hackers. At my work we don't use our public domain for anything and we have a completely separate domain that doesn't even look like it belongs to us, so even if someone does manage to find something misconfigured on it, it's extremely difficult to trace back to us. Basically: It's badly made. It's bad decisions made by people who don't know what they're doing. Not only is the public website garbage (and breaks EU and UK accessibility laws), it seems that their private site is so bad that it's an actual security risk to anyone who has to deal with the ACO. There is a lot of wealthy drivers involved in sportscar racing - having their documentation leaked makes them juicy targets for identify theft. |

Just getting into sports car racing and WEC this year. Might be a silly question, but why is Ben Keating still a Bronze driver? He seems like he should be rated higher, he's got championships under his belt, great results, etc. To me, seems he's better than other Bronze drivers and it gave Corvette an advantage.

It is lagerly based on speed, experience and results.
I imagine he might be upgraded, but the same happened last year to several drivers and they somehow managed to get downgraded to bronze again. Most of the time he is racing against fellow bronze drivers, so hard to quantify, but he probably the best of them with maybe Sarah Bovy who is also superb. |

Keating is more than 50, started racing way later than 30, and is still a tiny bit slower than most of the Silver rated guys/ladies who are in effect young almost professional drivers with no international credits yet (his teammate Nico Varrone is Silver rated).

He will also be dropping GT racing from his schedule I think now too, looking at LMP2 only in the states, not sure about WEC
