I've had the chassis for a good few years and have been trying to identify it ever since I bought it! The nose is Modus M4 but the other bodywork doesn't match anything I've ever seen. There are no chassis plates or identifying numbers but it does appear to be professionally built. The front suspension looks very much like a Hawke DL2B, but then other areas of the chassis differ.
I've enquired through Crossle, but it's not one of theirs and not a Reynard or PRS either. The front uprights are modified Herald - the same as all early 70's FF and the rear uprights are fabricated steel with VW beetle hubs - I did look down the line of it being Super Vee, but the engine mounts are definately Cross-Flow. I bought it from Pete Alexander and when I got it home, discovered that it had been used as a video simulator as the rear bulkhead had grills for speakers and the roll hoop stays had been cut and bodged to make it easier to get in and out. The "Circus Circus Racing" logos also add to that theory. However, it was used at some stage in anger and will make an attractive car - good luck Mark! Cheers Andrew |

Good lad - I thought about that myself, but a fireblade motor came up at a good price and I went that route - as you know, my plans changed and it all got sold off.
I think the firestorm motor lends itself to open pipes and methanol... |

BIG MARK. You've bought the racing equivalent to a "Cut & Shut"... Did Andy have a big brown overcoat on and a Trilby when he sold it you. Sorry. Couldn't resist. At least you can call it a hybrid. Or a prototype. |

Seriously.
Post pictures of it's development. It would be good to see you turn it around. |
