Been pretty clean and Pocono is just fun to watch because it's different and fast as hell. Looks like it will be coming down to fuel. JPM has been saving from the drop of the green flag so it'll be interesting if it stays green the rest of the race.

None of them have been running long enough stints to avoid making a stop with 15-25 laps to go.

We have the first caustion of the race, as Graham Rahal grinds to a halt.

Power's dropped a few places since the restart, with that slight coming together with Montoya and now Power's got himself a drive through, for blocking Castroneves.

Senseless block by Power and right call for a drive thru.
Folks are starting to pits to make the end on fuel. This will be good. |

Good stuff for JOHN PAUL! Congrats to him on his first win back in open wheels. Good strategy all day and good drive by JPM.

Congrats to J-P Montoya, he drove an excellent race, well deserved and congrats to Penske getting a 1-2. Power must be kicking himself over that blocking move. He has no one to blame but himself.

Good for JPM to get the win!
It was a good race, just disappointed with the lack of cars. It really shows with a huge track like Pocono. |

Congrats to Juan Pablo Montoya for a great victory at the Tricky Triangle that puts him back in the championship hunt even.
Here's to a quick and full recovery for Jack Hawksworth who crashed his #98 Honda in practise. The runs of TK, Munoz and Briscoe were really impressive today, too. Graham Rahal performed a really awesome save to keep that car in one piece. Here's hoping Pocono got enough attendance to keep the race for next year! It certainly was a great race. |

I enjoyed that race. It's good to see Montoya win it. I wouldn't like his come back to flatter to deceive, so the win is all good.
Tracy and Bell are good commentators. But it sounds like there's about seven people in the booth. |

Unfortunately, that's become the standard for all forms of sports these days - too many know-it-alls in the booth with something to say and all are fighting for time to say it between the commercial breaks. The losers are us as there is always someone jabbering something during all broadcasts and most of it is entirely unnecessary.

Also, the crowd looked pretty healthy so I was wrong and stand corrected.

I haven't actually gotten to see any of it yet, so I am glad to hear that attendance looked good.
A 500-miler at north of 200-mph average, they were really ripping along. Close AND clean racing, now that's a good combination! |

Great win for Montoya
Power needs to cut out the mistakes & keep his mouth shut - reckon the pressure is getting to him, he don't know how to close out this championship Good to see Briscoe get a good finish too |

Well done JPM!
I am ashamed to say I doubted him and the move to Indycars. Well, he seems to have the ovals nailed at least. |

I'm not really an ovals fan but that was highly entertaining.
Congratulations to JPM - he is looking more and more like the real deal (again). And I'm glad the race wasn't filled with bonehead moves resulting in crashes and yellows. I didn't see the post-race interviews mentioned above (Power, Castroneves) so I'll have to go look for them. |

I noticed that too. From pitlane looking at the stands, looked really good while the overhead showed lots of gaps and voids. Not that I counted them all, but I am willing to beat that it's more the the 30-35K from last year. Just a guess.
