Mr van Gisbergen showed what happens when the tyres go off the cliff, total oversteer time!

Looks like 888 has some challenges (for once) with the main game cars not looking good, and the Dunlop series cars also not loving the circuit.

They have some very clever people in the strategic department, I doubt they are losing out there. They just don't have the car pace and that points to car setup rather than strategy.

however, the offset is that all these guys would have been on hot laps and would have had to back out due to there being yellow flags on the track

It was certainly like that in the dunlop race, cars from the back were finishing near the front.

However, soft tyres in play here also. imagine they wont last as long in tassie

and hards may not have a full race distance in them either

Great drive by Wilbur, congrats to Erebus.

Poor strategy calls from PRA when it mattered.

Lowndes seemed to have torched the tyres running down the Pepsi cars, and Whincup uncharacteristically wasn't able to recover from an early-race boo-boo.

Solid effort from Fab.

SvG wasn't able to capitalise on supposedly good rubber, meaning yesterday's race 2 was a complete waste of time.

Pye apparently had good rubber to play with as well, but the radio chatter suggested a braking issue (another component to switch out for one of PRA's design?), which unfortunately took out Mr Heimgartner.
