Cars that sound boring are somewhat boring to watch. But what about overtaking?

Well, Rossi (Toyota) gained (after starting from last row, and having problems with the LC) 10 places, with some nice laps against Werner, but other than that, the corolla was faster than the others, so it wasn't from the new aero per se.
At the front it was 3 cars with no chance of fight between them. I think that other circuit (Alta Gracia is the testing lab of almost every team) and a bit more of experience may change that. Other thing that surprised me, every car it's from a official team, no private teams yet (That should change in the future) |

29-year-old Santiago Mangoni won his first Turismo Carretera race at San Luis with Chevrolet.
The next TC race is at Rosario, which is being extended yet again to acommodate the larger cars. |

Well that’s good. Sounds like the series is continuing to get good numbers and the races are being improved all the time

The Súper TC2000 is racing now at General Roca, although I'm not paying much attention to the TV.

It was a Renault walk again, Pernia showied his adaptation to the new ruleset with another dominating win against his teammate and actual champion Ardusso.
Other than that, Rossi having battles from the back is the only thing interesting in this season so far. As for the cars, the general reliability is not there yet. IMHO it's not been a good change for the category so far |

Well it sounds competitive. Renault still on top and Rossi still as good as ever. Of course you will get teething problems with new cars, but it is a step in the right direction

This series keeps going on. It’s nice to see so many makes in it and so many talented home grown drivers. I only hope it continues this way

TC Rosario
Race just finished, Rossi (Ford) won with a monster drive, on a monster car, in an almost dry race, with Ponce de Leon (Ford) and Ledesma (Chevrolet) following. (Kinda reminds me the era of the three dominating the tc2000 in the Ford and Chevrolet works teams with Rossi changing sides)
That said, the winner was the fastest all weekend, from the practice sessions onward, it was his 38th pole in the categorie. The early rain today brought some uncertainity, but in the 3 series no much changed in the relative pace of the cars, and a pace car in the second one secured Rossi in the first row for the final. it was an entertaining race, coming from the boredom of the STC2000 last week, while not being on par with the Turismo nacional mayhem |

Rossi seems unbeatable whatever you throw at him. Still the others aren’t far behind. He’s one of the greats though. I follow the series on here and it’s always nice to hear about the good racing this series shows up

Rossi with a good car is a monster, maybe the fastest touring car driver racing here in Argentina.
I was really happy for Ponce and Ledesma too, they are really good drivers but by luck or car performace issues, they weren't in the place they deserve in the last years |

Indeed he is, at times the only person who can stop him is himself. That said there are a few who could dethrone him, but only if the car is right. For the sake of competitiveness we can hope

Is it just me, or are those Top Race cars really looking more and more like slightly modern TC cars? Really seems like they've given up on trying to make them look like the road cars they are supposed to be based on.

Those Top Race silhouettes aren't perfect, but some are resonably similar.
Once I told Juan MarÃ*a Traverso that I feel that the TC cars are ugly, and they should use camaro, Mustang and Challenger bodykits. He didn't disagree. |

The top race v6 first generation where really good looking, especially the BMW 3 series, the Vectras and the Alfas.
The second batch of silhouettes where kinda off in the proportions, the Lancer looked weird but the Mondeo and C Class maintained the closeness with the real thing, the Passats where all over the place combining parts of two generations and BMW were lost in the change. The actual ones are a mess, but as silhouettes go, are far from the worse. As of the tc, imho with beter liveries they will look nice, the cars themselves looks bussines, but the liveries... take Pernia's Torino for example, looks really nice, or the old Fontana YPF Torino the only thing i really don't like its the dynamic air intake for the carbs, they should implement EFI for the engines (the development on that things is a marvel anyways, they should go al the way) |

No need to change TC cars and liveries.

There was a massive electric pwoer outage in Argentina and Uruguay, but that didn't stop racing.

Yesterday I watched the last STC2000 round at Santa Fe. 1-2-3 for Renault.
How come the French brand so dominant this season? |

Every racetrack hires a power generator, so they don't care about the pwoer grid.
Honestly I rarely watch Argentine races, since they clash with lunch, which I often do outside home. |
