Martin Ryba has switched car for 2019. He will drive a Civic TCR and probably will be again in action in TCR Europe

It's not decided yet if he will race in the TCR Europe. But indeed great great news! TCR is becoming a real chance for drivers who want to be in Motorsport like professional racing drivers

It's not a step down! He has always struggled with budget in indycar and the opportunity to shine in FE is gone. In TCR he can rebuild his career and hopefully he will be a champion in WTCR in future

Probably TCR Italy as BRC have cars entered in that championship. Not sure that they have the infrastructure to run cars in WTCR, TCR Europe and TCR Italy.

Look like that Luca Engstler will also race in TCR Europe in Hyundai, alongside his already confirmed TCR Asia running.

Very surprised that Oscaro did not give Filippin enough support to stay in WTCR
Though maybe there are actually no more seats left

Maybe it's a precise choice to race in TCR Europe to develop the car! But I don't think Filippi is the right person anyway...

I'm surprised they'd want to keep him around after his conduct last year. Money talks, I suppose.

He has huge fundings from the Serbian government. So basically he can do anything sometimes...
And when Richard blamed the marshalls on Facebook was banned for the full weekend. Not suprised at all that he is leaving to do Blancpain.

Ryba remains with his team, but upgrading from the Golf to a new Civic.

I don't know if he can really deliver anything in this big field. I am presuming we will have 25-30 cars.

Surprised the Ryba thing is still news. I mentioned it in this very thread way back when he bought the car last year
