Apparently Whincup will have to stop twice to boil the billy and have a cup of tea.
Lowndes has to stop four times to sign autographs. And Frosty has to stop twice for a wee break. |

Got to be the ugliest livery for some time, this trend to have NASCAR style numbers is a worry, the racing might become as boring as NASCAR, undoubtedly the most tedious racing in the world, F1 manages to be exciting without any visible numbers on the cars!

Not sure if the numbers have an impact on interest factor, but it is a break from the norm.

The #4 on the door is abit in your face (as the Volvo door numbers are)... but i'll happily take that over the new-for-2008 rule that did away with car numbers on the door.
Any race car with a number on the door looks alot better to me. |

Wow, Alex Premat posts a very sharp time to get top spot in the co-driver session!
Greg Ritter 2 tenths faster than Dahglren.... |

First codriver session, and Mr Premat is the surprise of the day. His fastest lap would have put him 7th in the regular pilot session. We know the car is good, so obviously does Mr Premat
Here's hoping the speed translates well to race day. Mr Premat did a number of laps in the low 1.10s, so consistency looks ok too.. |

...the big question from P2 is: Has the muppet at FPR who decided it's a good idea to put Paul Morris in the car, been fired yet?

To be honest the whole top 10 have clocked some sharp times given many of them haven't spent much time in cars this year. Alex Buncome no disgrace in the Nissan, nor Olivier Gavin in the HRT. Paul Morris - behind David Russell, is another matter. Mind you the whole field in 1.17 seconds, with guys this variable, is amazing. |

Perhaps Mr Morris is still trying to get his head around the allegedly unique nuances of the FPR chassis?

And Mr Premat tops the times in P3...
The Ovlov is doing very well in his hands... Its surprising that some of these blokes with very little mileage in the cars arent taking them across the whole of the session. Mr Morris & Mr Douglas for example pumped out 26 laps in that session, while new-to-everything pilot Mr Gavin got in only 13 laps... odd.. |
