They should only be BOPd to their own class rules, meaning they may interfere a little, track dependent. Anyone know the average top speed of a GT3 vs LMP3? Guess this will count for a lot in the LM support race? |

Despite having Mistral PR probably is not the greatest comparison piece considering even LMP2s have sucked hard there against the LMGTE top speeds for the last couple of years, yet easily overpowering em at Le Mans.

Pretty close then, just from a very basic comparison. I'd still put my money on GT3 cars bringing better lap times at LM. Nothing more than a hunch though |

You would think they'd want to keep the "LM" product in front of SRO property category by any means necessary, and certainly at their headquarters of operations in front of all the crowds. They're treating GT3 just as being 'stepping stone' for LMGTE anyway. Cry screams from the GT3 teams can be avoided by clearly stating the LMP3 performance intentions in the brochure... and by saying you cannot win with GT car outright anywhere else within our realm either. It may be a guest category just joining in with the regular grid, but so was ILMC to the LMS and ALMS, and it paid out greatly.
Lack of noise from the GT3 front seem to suggest lackluster grids outside Le Mans, but I guess it's still January so there's time. Not that it matters to me since the LM round is all I'm interested in. Last edited by Deleted; 27 Jan 2016 at 14:18. |

Even though the chances of seeing ADESS on the LM grid now see pretty damn bad with CPB Sport making no show in ELMS at least, there is some hope of seeing something else than complete spec-Onroak LMP3 show at LM still. Not only with Murphy fielding the Riley for ELMS, but ARC Bratislava surprisingly entering the last remaining Ginetta LMP3 in the world for 2016-17 ASLMS (after absolutely disgusting rejection by the ACO for ELMS). So we might see them there right? Neither has put out plain intentions for such yet, but one can hope! I'm also hoping for some AAI ADESS, even if the chassis is as seemingly hopeless as the results say.
Meanwhile ACO apparently expects 15-18 full season GT3s but whatever. |

No official announcement, but just noticed on FFF McLaren Team by ACM have both the GT Asia Series, and the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup on their 2016 calendar.
Assumedly they are running 1-2 Mclarens in the GT3 Le Mans Cup |

"From state-of-the-art facilities in Italy, FFF Racing will continue its ascendency in 2016. It will dovetail three campaigns in the newly-launched Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup, GT Asia Series and Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe, and seats are still available in their recently acquired Lamborghini Huracan GT3s."

The registration closes tomorrow so the entry list announcement should be imminent. Let's hope for more than spec P3 grid at LM.

We are realistically likely to see all Ligier except maybe one Adess, and one Riley Ave though right? Not sure what the last remaining Ginettas plans are beyond maybe ASLMS |

Well it's not like Bratislava can run that Ginetta anywhere else within the ACO realm before fall now (well except the Sepang Sprint Cup I guess) so they might just as well enter. Plus, it's Le Mans
Obviously it'll be full of Onroaks, and it's inevitable they will win it in front of their home base (assuming GT3 doesn't outperform them), but if there's at least one car presence from the other LMP3 manufacturers (except Dome and their late project) it becomes immediately more interesting. Maybe AAI enters ADESS or two, especially as they will be at the track regardless for the 24 hours. Murphy hasn't actually said they will enter the Riley for the race, they've only mentioned ELMS, but I would sure hope so. And if it's really a "factory team" for Riley (or so to speak) I'm sure they too would like presence there. Last edited by Deleted; 14 Mar 2016 at 14:46. |

Seems like it's been ages since a announcement for this series, but finally we have one (start of a flurry I imagine!)
FFF racing team by ACM with a two car lineup: One Huracan GT3 for Andrea Calderelli and Sean Fu Songyang, and one McLaren 650s GT3 for Hiroshi Hamiguichi and a pro driver TBA (maybe a McLaren factory or academy driver) Nice to see a team taking a multi-mark approach of a Lambo and McLaren, and the cars look great too. FFF will be doing the Euro super Trofeo this year as well as the GT3 cup, no mention of a GT Asia return, although it is marked on the calendar in their website |

The official test is supposed to happen tomorrow. And we still haven't received entry lists from ACO lol.
Btw bunch of AF Corse Ferraris have been announced (of course) but whatever it's the P3 field I'm waiting for. Even so, might the GT3 portion of this be a flop in numbers... |
