Give him a chance; volunteers always have to work harder.

and for free!

Still not received mine although DD paid over a month ago, but I know I'm still a member and my card will get here eventually, so no panic.

Arrived

I am sure there was a reason for changing it to "landscape" and removing the hole for fixing to a lanyard ... but I can't work out what it might be.

Not quite correct it is Mike Newton's last LMP2 car the ARX -HPD.

Mike preferred that view of the car because the BMMC badge is visible on the front wing, something which Mike proudly displayed on all his Le Mans cars.

Apologies for the lack of hole but we tried to emulate the MSA card which is similarly wholesome! However I can't think of when you would want to hang it round your neck, it is not required to access anywhere.

cheaper still to drill a little hole - aka MSA - I've got loads of lanyards on which to hang them

I am still waiting for mine, but I guess it takes a while for pigeons to get to the US, especially with all this snowy weather here

And I am in no hurry, I do not know when was the last time I needed to use my membership card anywhere and the only thing I am using is the window sticker. But the racing season does not start for me until last week of April so there is plenty of time for it to arrive.

Bill attended a "Stewards/Judges" seminar in Telford on Sunday and came home with an MSA lanyard and one of those plastic "pass holder" thingies into which you slot the card. So he's sorted!

I spent all my working life wearing a pass hung around my neck (while at work I hasten to add). Now why didn't I keep all the many "pass holder" thingies - I could be making my fortune now!!

I applied for new membership at the end of Jan, was hoping to get it through before 23rd March, is there any way to check if it was received or should I just wait? Thanks.

Membership pack arrived, a good selection of stuff.

Does the MSA card arrive under separate cover? I don't need that to start volunteering for events do I?

Nope, no need for it right away.

The MSA will send that separately, although I'd expect it to arrive fairly soon-ish.
