I can recall having $20 on Lowndes to win that race. Although the FPR car was pretty crap back then I learnt during that week that they had tested at PI in the week leading up to the event (but he really only won on strategy, not pace, but I didn't care)

It paid 15-1, so a nice $300 came my way

Anyone else feel that the "buzz" disappears out of the season once Bathurst is done and dusted???

Not normally. It usally picks up, but as GTR points out a large gap this year has caused a drop in excitment.

However4 i am looking forward to the next couple of weeks

there was meant to be a round at abu dhabi , but it was pulled after the calendar were announced, apparently too late to replace.

however they havent added an event next year to replace it, but they did space things better

Just looking at the TCM qualifying times, it must be wet down there.

Whincup will be there at the end, his lap wasn't to the potential of the car. FPR looking very good as are DJR.

Alex in p4 so has carried forward some form from practise

all 6 fords in the top 11, Frsoty on pole

Whincup in p 28 when the clock stopped but manged tp get p 13 on his final lap

Frosty P1 by half a second

Maro Engel dead last, this was the track he had been on before so a bit dissapointing

has the rules changed regarding having your headlights on while on your fastest lap

Watching Giz (headlights on) trying to get around Tander and A davison (neither had headlights on)

Both GT and AD seemed to be fighting for the spot (in qualyfying)
