Well Montoya scored 7 poles and no wins. Ralf the better driver.

Montoya outscored Ralf in 2002 (only his second season), despite Ralf lucking into a win and Montoya being unlucky not to win on occasion. Montoya's the far better driver in my book, and Im sure 2005 will back that up.
Maybe we should focus purely on Ralf anfd Jarno though - Ralf and JPM produce very opposing reactions, and comparisons of those two usually turn ugly. |

Just a cuppla notes:
1) The question is relevant only if Toyota is able to provide a bit competitive car; otherwise, predicting which one will be 10th or 12th is of no use. 2) If condition 1 is respected, well, we gonna see one of the most interesting pairs of 2005, perhaps the second, after Kimi-JPM. |

I think we may have the fastest driver combo in F1 here.....
Trulli will win the qualifying contest, but Ralf will get the upper hand over the year. I wouldn't be surprised to see a BAR like leap forward from Toyota |

The fastest combo in F1? Faster than Mcihael and Rubens? Or Kimi and Montoya? Or Button and Sato? I'm not sure about that.

Perhaps not boots, but they both seem to need a good shot of confidence. I can see these guys being formidable if they are provided with a decently quick and reliable Toyota. Something well overdue given their budget and personnel.

I think Trulli will be quicker more often than not, but it's a toss up who'll score the most points.

Psychology will have a role in determining the winner IMO: the less weak will prevail.

Yes, and apart from that, Ferrari and Macs have unquestionably better pairs.
