Brilliant - best motorsport entertainment in ages - yes they were always going to be a bit cautious early on but once they settled down they went for it be gave each other respect when in close quarters - thats a mark of a good racer (remember gilles and Rene at Dijon) As for "Our Nige" Fantastic - he was always in control but total admiration for Emo - He was Brilliant - How Old is He? I think he lost 20 years when he stepped into a fight with Mansell - and didnt they look happy about it

Apparently they were over heating more than any other car ... must be the black.

Great fun to watch and I hope it gets to be a series next year. Good old Murray topping off a great british sporting weekend. With the rugby (Luke!) and even the football results making it one of those great sunday afternoon sports programmes.

Because he was 78 years old and felt that travelling around the world every other week for most of the year wasn't something he wanted to do any more, and it was better to be asked "why have you retired" than "when will you retire"

Emmo is 58, and has a stunning wife to boot! That took me back to when i was 12, such a joy to watch. I'd love to see Piquet, Prost (almost a definate anyway), Berger (although i doubt he would), Rosberg, Mario Andretti, Boutsen, Ickx, Fabi, Nakajima, Scheckter and Reutemann. I doubt however that many of those would want to get back in to such a quick car, it'd still be nice tho.

Fantastic race! Three people made it for me, Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and the great Murray Walker!

Even after 4 years away from a mic, he comes back, and to me, beats any other commentator hands down. I'm just sad I'm not old enough to have witnessed more of his work.

A bit of a contrived first few laps but got better as time went on. Great to see cars going sideways again and good to hear Murray Walker doing his thing.

I missed the intro, who was the other guy commentating, His voice sounded familiar.

Andretti won the Daytona 500 in, I think, 1969 and was of course World Champion in both F1 and Indy Car

I watched the BBC coverage too, and I enjoyed the race more! No adverts or break in transmission, and good commentary from both Murray and Derek. Derek made a good foil for Murray and Murray was on top form.

Made a good race even better for me.
