Time attack cars do not seem that quick to me, if you look at the times from the last round at Anglesey, the winner would have qualified 10th for North West Sports and Saloons race on the same circuit a month earlier!

I can never understand why they insist on running track day tyres The cars are out and out race cars they should run slicks |

It does seem a bit odd - some of the cars are hugely developed and are effectively crippled by their tyres. It must get to the stage where there's no point developing a car further as it would take it beyond what the tyres can handle. But those are the regs so that's what you have to go with

I did time attack for a couple of seasons
It is a good way of learning circuits and getting the most out of your car on a single lap without worring about racing other cars. It is better than track days and has full lap timing and sector times. I would say it is boring to watch most of the time though |

Time Attack has been screwed over abit this year due to running on rubbish road tyres becuase thats what pirelli wanted. I cover time attack and have been to all the rounds this year, the cars cannont get the grip down, and also the loss of some entries was due people not wanting to run there full blown race cars on road tyres |

hey there people, just thought this thread could do with a bit of a kick start, the Time Attack series is still alive n kicking in the UK, with still the wide range of cars and impressive times. Here's my vid from the last round, held as a demo event at TRAX at silverstone on 8th September.
