But I agree D & R are at the longest odds to be purchased by Minardi. Rocketsports arent a Indy based team so with PS comment in autosport I guess that takes them out of the equation. He wouldnt be buying KKs share in PKV would he ? Hopefully DCR and PS do a joint venture and we can have a competitive team for 07. |

Be patient gentlemen...
It can't definitely be RuSPORT, is is based in Colorado. It's an Indy team but I haven't the feintest on which it can be. So, Mexico City, come now! |

Walker Racing/Team Australia? they are based at Indy, doubt Gore would want to get out of it though and I'm not sure those two could work together well...
Ideally he would just start his own team, best for everybody, if not, then an underperforming one like Rocketsports. |

The Autosport speculation is HVM. Seems more likely to me than anything else.

Doesn't the Mi-Jack part of Conquest also do the Cleveland and Houston races? It seems odd that they would increase their involvement in CC only to back out a year later.

Heard somewhere (apologies for lack of preciseness) that Mi Jack was looking at sponsoring NHR in a bigger way than at Conquest.

It would be a shame to lose Conquest, as they've been seriously competitive. We will see.

It could make sense...Mi-Jack and Bachelat share ownership, so if Mi-Jack did want to jump ship, Stoddard could come in with sponsors and do a think like Conquest did a few years ago with Fittapaldi-Digman...then we have both...
Yes not as good but still - gets both owners on the grid... |

So...The Mexico Race is over...
Who did he buy, or what did he announce??? I watched the race, and unless they said something while I was talking a leak, I sure didn't hear anything about Stoddart's plans.... Please share if you know anything... |

AR1 and miller are reporting based on comments from keith wiggins and others that stoddart is buying into HVM and they will field a four car superteam. Wiggins wants to keep his 2 drivers from this year plus 2 of stoddarts drivers.

Stoddart must've made some money from selling the Minardi F1 team, so he might be able to fund drivers completely for a year or 2.

therefor I think, its still the ex-Minardi guys who are most likely to compete for that one or two seats, Bruni was never really a Stoddart-guy, in fact, he was the only driver who was introduced by Giancarlo Minardi between 2001 and 2005. Yoong and his father had a noise battle of words with Stoddart over a 200k USD that Paul has allegedly refused to pay them back, so their relationship went bad there. As for Marques, Stodd literally hates him, wanted to get rid of him mid-season, Marques switched off his mobile for weeks and the team had no idea wheather he is to race in Hungaroring, they had to have Yoong there in case Marques wouldnt show up, so we can completely rule him out. Leinders, Friesacher and Baumgartner are all well founded and out of drive so its between them now I would think. Baumgartner's management did confirm talks with Stoddart last week, that I know. |

also, im not quite sure wheather Muermann is still in the picture. do you think he is? Because if he is that would make Heylen an obvious pick too.

I can't beleive that Briscoe and James Courtney will be ignored once again by an Australian team manager.

Well, you have KK, an Australian, who co-owne sthe series and is said to be providing funding to several teams. You have Gore and Walker, both Australians, running a team. If ever there was a chance for hoke cookin' for Australia in the series, it was there long before Stoddart showed up.

KK was not "allowed" to run an Australian this year.
