Yes.
If Kimi goes on to win the title, it'll be tarnished forever. |

i log onto this forum first thing in the morning and see the title of this thread only to find out that it is about leaf blowers drying the pit area. definitely not cheating, unless, maybe, they were blowing the water onto mclaren's pit area

I think "Clarification of rules concerning air blowers in the pit lane" would have been a better title. It is a duller title I'll grant you, but one that has an some sense to it.

Other suitable (or otherwise) headlines are or would be for example:
1.Todt denies "blow job". 2.FIA to investigate illegal downforce modifications. 3.Ferrari deny "sucking up" to FIA. Last edited by Marbot; 7 Oct 2007 at 15:43. |

Ferraris real trick in a race like this is getting more out of the tyres, and thats what the best innovation to come to light in 2007 really is. And it is 100% legal (and probably is the major reason Ron is £50m poorer)

Is this a secret or are you referring to the gas in the tyres?

this thread gave me a giggle...
but you know, I just found a youtube clip taken from the stands that shows actually what really happened--the Ferrari leaf blower was blowing actual leaves all the way down to the pit entry left hander, timed exquisetly just as Hamilton came into the pit entry, and as one of the Ferrari team members is from Montreal (really true) his detailed Fall info gave them the edge in where and how to direct the leaves so that they would have the most dastardly effect... dang, where did I put that link, its around here somewhere! I'll get it up before the FIA pulls it, I promise. (ps, we're at the height of Fall colours here, with lots of RED ONES on the tree on our front yard, thats what made me think of this) Last edited by djb; 11 Oct 2007 at 00:49. |

Normally it's British Rail that has a problem with "leaves on the line".Still,it's as good an excuse as any.

As for the comment about a wet pit lane entry being a problem that should be looked into, pfff it's all about driving to the conditions. No one else went off there, it was just Hamilton's over exuberance that caused his off. It's mother nature at it's best and mother nature that makes a GP more interesting. |

yupp, despite quite liking Hamilton, i find it amusing that the pitlane entry was identified as an issue that ought to be addressed. Hamilton made an error, Mclaren made an error.. there's really nothing more to it. Unless we have to make roads straight just so that Britain's chosen one can keep it on the road?
This is Hamilton's first year, and considering that he didn't make many mistakes, (is this his 2nd?) i think we can overlook this error. hmm..Perhaps, to make things more interesting, FIA should penalize Hamilton 5 grid places in Brazil for excessively worn tires! talk about twisting the results.. |

How did this thread get to 4 pages when the answer to the original question was 'no'?
