Nimrod Brands
This one, the later livery that it shared with the ecosse i think looked better, but I like the shape. The latter car I was thinking about was the AMR-01. The Ecosse togeather with the Jolly Club Alba was my favorite C2/Junior car. Jolly good |

Thats the one, hope we may see one race in the Grp C race in June.
I don't belive I fogot my other all time favorite Car the Grp 44 Jag, but that was an IMSA car so I have an excuse. It is however a hard choice as all the Grp C cars looked great, so my favorite does change depending on mood. |

The Kenwood 962 looked really nice. But I have to say my favorite was and will be the 905 Evo. Looked great and ran like a Swiss clock. I wonder if it raced for a year or two more what it would have evolved into.

Tricky question as there are so many choices, and the livery definitely has an impact too. My favourites, in no particular order:
Jaguar XJR-14 Sauber C9 (particularly in Kouros or AEG liveries) Porsche 962 Long Tail ('88 Shell livery) Jaguar XJR-12 Interesting that the 905 has come up a few times. I never thought that it was that attractive - not as good looking as the XJR-14, C291 or TSO10! Mind you, that's partly because I always thought they copied some of the Jag bits to make it go quicker!! |

Suprised that the Cheetah Aston-Martin hasn't been mentioned. The Gat Oil sponsored machine. Not a success but looked the part. I'm sure Ray Mallock drove it at Spa in the 1000K's event one year!

The Shell 962. Not the Dauer car that ran GT in '94, but the earlier one.

There's now a poll on this on a site not so very far away.......
Limited choices, necessarily..... BTW, how can you rate the URD No. 1 in your bottom 3, LC2guy - I quite liked that. The worst was that awful Thibault Chevron from 87. |

I think the reason i find the URD so unattractive is from my initial impression gained at Silverstone when it almost took my beloved Lancia out of the race at the old Woodcote chicane whilst being lapped for the Umpteenth time. And it sounded horrible from what i remember. If the car is at Le mans in June however, i will be very happy to see it, as the great thing about Group C was its diversity in both chassis and engine.

I guess it was part of the story about the URD at Le Mans in 1986, which pulls at the heart-strings......

Anyone remember the Sthemo. Originally based on a Toj and fitted with a BMW M12 bored out to 2190cc. That was ugly as sin. Driven by .......Noel Del Bello! PRF |
