That's it.

Also, I agree with Paul about Oulton Park, I wish I lived a bit closer and could go more often!

Although the original poster didn't specify as such maybe we should restrict ourself to publicly assessable corners.

The run up to Bridge @ Silverstone is a great place to take pictures from but only if you have a media pass. Sunny In @ Croft and especially Knickerbrook @ Oulton are likewise off limits.

I'd second Mike's comment about Mallory being good at almost every corner.[/QUOTE]
I thought Mallory Park was one continuous corner?

The only straight is past the start finish line.....

But Yes... it is good for photography...

Yeah, I was going to say, it would be extremely difficult to get a decent picture from behind the fence at the little run from Abbey to Bridge. The fence is just to heavy. In my view if you are without media pass at Silverstone then Luffield and the exit of Club are the best spots to shoot from. The fence anywhere else is just to much of a bugger.

I know this doesn't count, but I recently went to Jerez, with accreditation, and it was a joy to shoot, no fences worth of the name, and you can get extremely close, the press room is fairly central to the whole track as well, so it's reasonably easy to do everything on foot.

There are 3 other spots I like at Silverstone

1- The Abbey Grandstands as you can normally get above the fence:- http://www.rdj-pics.co.uk/Photos/200...s/Silver46.jpg
2- Woodcoate looking towards the start line - http://www.rdj-pics.co.uk/Photos/200...s/Silver04.jpg
3- Stood next to the disabled enclure looking into Woodcoate:- http://www.rdj-pics.co.uk/Photos/200...s/Silver41.jpg

yeah, that's a good point actually, you can get close enough to the fence in the disabled enclosure to zoom through the fence without getting much or any glareback.

The abbey grandstand does allow you to shoot over the fence, the pros often go up there as well, to get an extra angle.

Yep, standing in the grandstands looking down on Abbey isn't to bad: http://www.forzaphoto.co.uk/2005/spo.../DSC_0155.html

I also forgot about Priory:

Long time lurker...... small time poster

Thought I'd do my bit for my local circuit Combe.
Good viewing all round from the public areas....

Quarry is most peoples favourite as the viewing is good and there's loads of action....

Outside of Lodge needs media pass as there is a great big catch fence that gets in the way for the paying specator, but the shots I've seen from there have to be the epitomy of Oulton Park, also there is no spectator access beyound about Foulstons when they are on the full circuit, but around there there is very little difference between the paying punters and the rest at the track side, only a very low fence which a midget can see over and which provides a handy rest, cars are quite slow going around Island as well

there is a big catch fence but if you go a bit further round it ends and you can get these sort of shots from the spectator area with a half decent zoom

Fair point, this is similar to my best efforts to replicate those shots you see of the cars with the Lodge in the background. The pros with the media passes manage to get the cars with more of the Lodge, but its still a great corner to spetate and photograph from

yeah I quite like the outside of Lodge or the inside but that takes a bit of practice to get whole car in the gap

youngoldy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I quite like the Hairpin at Anglesey. I think Abbbots is a good place aswell, considering you get the sea in the backround....

Brands hatch

If you can get to a day that does the full circuit instead of the short indy one the photo opportunities are much better - no fencing to get in your way!!!
