Glenn Seton celebrates his 41st birthday this year and I wouldn't dare suggest he is too old for it.
Is Russell Ingall really only 40? |

This would be the points standings under MotoGP points system:
1 Craig Lowndes 0(238 points) 2 Garth Tander -17 3 Mark Skaife -40 4 Rick Kelly -56 5 Jason Bright -83 6 Russell Ingall -91 7 Mark Winterbottom -95 8 Steven Richards -104 9 Jamie Whincup -109 10 Jason Richards -132 Skaife has 6 race wins, more tha any other driver this year. Only one of them from everse grid race. |

except that at this stage we havent had a single race round, we have had 6 three race rounds and 1 two race round
but it wouldnt work if we had been to bathurst and sandown, that is correct i think more of the prooblem is that reverse grid races have received equal points which was never the intention, so as a result you are unable to use moto gp in that way Try it using the weekend results rather than individual race results erki |

I considered giving Adelaide, Sandown and Bathurst some coefficent to make those rounds count more.

1 Craig Lowndes 103 0
2 Garth Tander 86 -17 3 Mark Skaife 83 -20 4 Rick Kelly 79 -24 5 Jason Bright 67 -36 6 Russell Ingall 56 -47 6 Jamie Whincup 56 -47 8 Mark Winterbottom 55 -48 9 Steven Richards 49 -54 10 Jason Richards 43 -60 This is how top 10 looks when inside a round, every race has Moto Gp points system, then top 15 of those points get the round points(moto Gp system) The only thing with this is that I don't have tie breakers for drivers who finish a round with same points. For example, at Winton, Mark Skaife, Garth Tander, Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell all got 27 points from races and were tied for the fifth place and all got 11 points... I'll try and get that worked out tho. |

Looks about right to me. Winners and place getters are rewarded.

looks 100% spot on for me. Rewards winning and being up the front. Makes you wonder though, if the points were like that, would it be a different make up in points. Could we see more passing just from that?

There's still a fair gulf between the number of failures for each side of the shed. Hopefully Blacky will stay back on the HRT side, and not venture over to HSVDT again!

gearbox failure of some sort is what I could work out from the TV coverage.
Maybe Todd and Mark swapped cars for the weekend without Mark knowing ? |

I think the only few teams that use non holinger internals are DJR with Modena gearing and Tasman with SEW-Eurodrive cogs. I think it is the way that both Todd and Mark are shifting from cog to cog that is causing the trouble.
