Al, have you tried saving the file to your PC and then opening it? That sometimes works when I have trouble with .pdf files.

Were MST timing it, or somebody else?

I have picked up on interesting developments which do not seem to have been reflected in the discussion in this thread.
What we knew as MST appears to have split into two companies with different websites and company locations: MST Systems Ltd (http://www.mstworld.com/Default.aspx) and MST Sports Timing Ltd (http://www.msttiming.com/home.asp) Systems does fancy world events while Sports seems to do UK motorsport as far as I can see from their websites. I don't know if the split was friendly or technical or to split risk or what. Sports (who appear to be the ones having difficulty with the web results, are using new software produced not by them but by the manufactures of the transponders which have to be used. Also there have been reports of organisers having to wait to start the next session for the timekeepers to be ready. That particular nuisance had, I thought, died out about 15 - 20 years ago. All the above comes with: A Apologies if you knew it all anyway and B A warning that it is gossip and hearsay (except the two companies and their websites). Anyone else got anything to add? Regards Jim |

The MST Sports Timing / MST Systems has been like that a while now, and as far as I was aware, it wasn't a 'split' as such - more an operational move to separate different areas of the company. Don't know much more than that, though.
