TuteZaek should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm mildly worried about TR, STC2000 is a whole different beast politically than TR and requires a lot of atention, even in its current state, It has much more critical mass than TR ever had. I wish for the best of both, but i'm afraid one of the two will suffer, and It will be TR, STC2000 is the main brand now.

But first come the V8s, while STC2000 will need to define its direction for the future. iMHO, this Levy buying the series Situation Is were a slim chance of a TCR adoption exists.

By merger i was thinking could both series be run at the same event, TR being run as a support series to STC2000 in place of Tc2000, the five existing series being reduced to say three.

Neither series will benefit from that, TR is too big for a support series, they are too close on performance (AND with the V8 coming soon too) and top pilots and teams are needed for both.

A multi clases event would be nice tho

The Camry TC test are going to be posponed to the 27 and 28 of January for weather related reasons, as the original dates (25 and 26) are expected to be rainy, or outright stormy both at Rafaela AND Paraná.
As a side efect, Canapino will not be taking part of the tests, because of prior commitments, so its place will be covered by Juan Pablo Gianini.

Talking about the 2022 season, the races will return to 25 laps (30 for Toay) for the final, and 5 for the "series", same as pre Covid races. But the practice sessions are still l?*mited to the saturday pre Qualy.
The ACTC Is planning to run at least 2 special races with a mini championship for them, giving, potentially, an extra playoff entry.

On TCPK a 30hp increase in power is planned, owing to the elimination of restrictor plate BOP in favor of a RPM balancing based bop

I didn't know that nearly all races had the same number of laps. Clearly I had never paid attention to that.

Another problem for STC2000 as FDC's team owner Ciabattari (who always has something to say, being the most vocal of all team owners/directors) isn't sure of continuing under this circunstances, while going all out against Auto Sport and the ACA.
Also mentions that still nothing is oficial about the sale, and that even the Levys don't say anything.

Josito Di Palma is back in Top Race, could this be a start of the return of more big name drivers to the series?

With regards to the Renault team, am I right in that the Renault Fluence GT as a road car has long been out of production?

Correct, the Fluence ceased production in Argentina in late 2018. The 2016 Mégane sedan was not imported here, not even in Chile.

I had proposed Renault to use the Logan, but they have shut down all non-electric racing programs.

The Camry TC had its first test on Rafaela's oval, mostly driven by Giannini, with Ledesma driving a Chevrolet, and the Toyota some laps by the end.
The circuito was used without the chicanes, and they didn't capture times, It was an aero focused test were they tested with various configurations, including the diferent nosés.
Tomorrow is Paraná's turn where a more all arround test will be made.

Good news for STC2000, a new team comes to the series, FS Motorsport, using two of DTA's Fiat Cronos (there where 3), last raced on 2020, drivers still TBA.

Nobody knows what the hell Is gonna happen with STC2000, at least the Levys talked and mentioned the negotiations, there are meetings with the teams and the possibility of delaying the start of the championship.
All in all a mess.

And of course fans wants to go back to the Renault Fuego era (while hating the works teams, forgetting that the Fuegos dominanted because they were THE works team that bullied everyone) or something like that

New? Just them i think.
The others more or less the same, but with some reduced teams, FDC is doubting, Honda has 2 cars confirmed, Ambrogio will field their 4 Fluence, Toyota has the stronger lineup with a main team and a junior team, i Guess 4/6 cars between them, Chevrolet will continúe with Llaver and Canapino (who renewed for 3 years)
The category provided 18 engines for the teams, with that i'll asume FDC is in.

I don't think any big team/automaker will come in with the STC2000 current unknowns: was sold? If yes, how the Levys (asuming they are the new owners) will position the series together with TR, that seems expanding? Will the series change regulations/segment for the cars? Those are some and too many.
Chevrolet signing Canapino for 3 years could be a good sign or a demostration to bring some peace to the series (that already lost one of the bigger, if not the biggest, figures) and comes from Chevrolet, who are big sponsors of the series.

Chevrolet will have official team this year in the TC (Canapino and JP), why not the arrival of the Camaro in 2023? and with it the departure of Chevrolet from the Super TC 2000, More considering that Ford has this year official team in TC Pick Up with 3 Ranger, So why not Mustang also in 2023?

Chevrolet Is still not confirmed on TC, and the "official" Ford team in TCPK (Also it's Ranger team, not Ford) comes from the dealership asociation that Jack and Ventricelli are part off. Ventri already pulled something similar in 2019 or 20 on TC with a Falcon, his results sucked, so i wouldn't read too much on that about Ford possible commitment to a works TC effort, even less for '23 with a new car (Same for Chevrolet, but at least they comented once on It). if Ford goes TC, Werner should and will be the one on board.

TuteZaek should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
This weekend Is the start of the 2022 TC (and TC pista) championship in Viedma.
This will be the most crowded TC grid since Potrero de los Funes 2013, with 50 cars, and the biggest start of the championship since 2011. The TC Pista will also have a big grid with 40 cars. The race will return to its pre COVID schedule of 25 laps for the final and 5 for the series.
Between those, of course, will be the 2 new Toyota Camry, of Rossi, returning since 2020, and Jakos, also back to back champion Werner, with his new team, with Elf Sponsorship, in a curious chasis, and Canapino's return to the JP carrera, with Ortelli as his race director.
There was a weird moment, when It was announced that only the final races would be broadcasted on TV, with series, testing and Qualy reserved for Motorplay, but aparently, on behalf of the outrage, it was Taken back, and everything will be on TV.

The TC will not use the Chicane marked "5"

Last Viedma winner and poleman was Werner

Looks better than i expected, really nice, but...WTF YPF? What where you thinking?
Another thing, this being Jakos car, weird not having Coiro anywhere on the livery.
