Please, no. This isn't IMSA. Closing the pits during FCY would remove one of the few performance/strategy variables left in the age of BoP and super reliability.

Ant just said he's a fan of this on the commentary. Not entirely sure Haven was supposed to confirm it on air but okay.

I'm struggling to see the rationale for the change after all these years? One thing I haven't loved is FCY's been extended longer than needed to ensure all cars get a chance to pit. That kind of removed the tactical edge anyway as it let slower teams react. So in theory it should lead to quicker FCYs/more green time. That's the only thing I can think of.

But a knock-on will be there needs to be some sort of emergency service provision now like in IMSA. So some teams will get nailed due to that.

As long as they don't mess around with Le Mans too much I don't mind I guess.

I'm sure the usual people will be here to defend this, but if that ends up happening it's an utter disgrace. They really absolutely don't care about the results in the fan surveys.

WEC is not normally on my radar, as most of my motorsport is attending more parochial stuff . But I thought it was about time I saw a round again, as it is over twenty years since I did . So what happened ? I look at the calendar , and see rounds at venues steeped in sports car history, not , like Portimao and (FFS) Bahrain . And nothing in the UK .How long haven't we had a race and why don't we have one any more ?

I believe there were Silverstone representatives at the Bahrain round. Fingers crossed they throw us a bone.

I suspect the powers that be really don’t like the fact that the WEC race isn’t the main attraction at Sebring

While I wish this were true, there is only one must-have round - Le Mans.

Every other venue is negotiable, and goodwill doesn't add as many zeros to the account balance.

Pretty gutted as was looking at attending Super Sebring again in '24. Was lucky enough to be at the first one it was superb for the fans.

Probably scheduled on the same weekend as the 12H.

Indy comes to mind.

I'm probably one of few that actually wouldn't be sad to see the FIA disappear from the historic airport site.
