Great shame, here was a guy having a great day and being part of the team that enables the event to happen. To be fatally injured in what was a non trackside incident is cruel to the extreme, the driver and fellow marshals involved in moving the car must be inconsolable. My thoughts go to all of them.

Not really a motor-racing accident at all. Just one of those things that can happen in a split-second when someone let's their guard down. A salutary reminder that these things can creep up on you, any time, anywhere.
My sympathies to the family. Also to the tractor driver who must be feeling absolutely awful, even though he appears to have been utterly blameless. |
