The 88 and 89 reviews are worth perhaps a tenner at most whilst anything later than that simply wont sell. The 87 review is silly money because of supply and demand - there are simply so few of them available.

I have all reviews from 1988 - 2000, except for the 1989 one. I have been looking to buy it at Ebay but it always goes for a lot of money. Does anyone know why the 89 video is more worth than the 88 one? Did they perhaps make less copies at the time?

The 1987 review went for 95 quid in the end I think I'm going to list my copy in a few weeks.

Was there any reason why it sold for so much?

I haven't started my 'hunt' for cheap BTCC videos yet. I need to sell stuff first, which is easier said than done.

If you wanna know there is a motorsport heroes thing on next week featuring the 87 season and centreing on Vhris Hodgetts. But it is on Motors TV so most may not be able to see it.
They are currently showing the 87 F3 season, Herbert, Hill, Favre, Kempton, Donnelly, Gachot, Brabham etv, marvellous.
Tell oyu what to the F3 cars in those days moved around sooo much, i watched the Silverstone GP round and Gacbot was chucking the thing round all over the place in superb 4 wheel drifts!

Yeah, I have a M402U that is very easy to use, however I find the quality not as good as it could be. The best way of converting them are to buy a DVD recorder that can convert VHS to DVD, that way you get the very best quality possible out of the VHS tape. If you have a comercial tape (like from Dukevideo) you will be surprised of how good quality you will get, but from cheap VHS tapes that you buy blank and then tape own material on the quality is often not as good.

So if I connect a VHS player to my DVD recorder via Scart that will record at the best quality level?

I'm thinking of buying some old European Rallycross reviews and Le Mans videos fron Duke.

Have done all mine, but I convert via scart front VHS into DVD recorder. I then load that onto computer for further editing.

I edit the footage (take out ads etc), add titles and fades to make it look a bit better than the tape recording and then produce a DVD with one or more videos on it with titles, chapters etc etc.

They have come out great and the quality is just as good as the original off-air recording.

Yeah, thats probably the best way. I don't know what kind of quality those DVD recorders with inbuilt VCR can get but I would guess no different then with VCR-scart-DVD recorder.
